Huge ribs to start but slightly tough. Spag carbonara was swimming in oil left 60% of it. Was offered a replacement but coldn't have eaten it. More effort on quality and it could be good. Nice staff.

My daughter and I lunched at Sergio's on a visit to Chester, Cheshire, last Sunday. We were received a lovely, "Bon journo" from the young man who greeted us and led us to our table. After a short wait our freshly cooked meals arrived which were tasty and very well presented. Happy faces surrounded us, not just the waiters and... More

I can only review from eating here at lunch times. We visit Chester regularly and found if it's Italian you want the weekday lunch menu is great. Last visit was on a Saturday and we had to have the full menu. It was quiet for a Saturday but previous visit midweek was heaving, this obviously reflects the menu on offer.... More

I have to say this is my favourite Italian restaurant in Chester. I had the Calamari for starter which was delicious, then Seabass for main which was out of this world, tasted just like the Seabass I have when on holiday in Italy. Fresh and delicious. My friend had bruchetta for starter which looked fabulous. She then had Pizza alla... More

We went to Chester 2 weeks ago and were very lucky to find this lovely Italian Restaurant. The food and service was great with an amazing atmosphere. Although we had booked we did have to wait a little while for a table but it was well worth it. Will definately return if we happen to be in Chester again

Booked a table for 8pm. Still waiting to sit at 25 past. No real apology or offer of a drink/menu etc to make us feel welcome. Touchy feely Italians are generally endearing but when your stood in a porch watching them seat people that came in after you first; I found it a little annoying. Food was good. However I... More

As Italians go this was a cheap meal for our group. The service was good but the food seemed to lack flavour. The sauces seemed to be the same for each pasta dish. The restaurant does seem to attract a lot of hen parties so it can be noisy.

We had been to Sergio 3 times before now and I have to say how it had deteriorated over the past couple of years. I know the restaurant is kind of popular so I made a trip to the restaurant in the afternoon to book a table for 19:30. We arrived at 19:20 and the table wasn't ready (there were... More
