Cosy and chic

This tiny restaurant is located few steps from the ancient city walls. It has few covers so if you want to take the chance to try it you d better reserve a table. The atmosphere is cosy and at the same time chic. As starter I had a plate of vegetarian antipasto to share and as main course I had... read more

I went thinking I really wanted to try the chicken thighs with chorizo and butter beans, but the Sunday roast - slow cooked pork belly - looked too good to miss. It tasted even better than it looked and was one of the best roasts I've ever had. Dessert was also very good, and prices were very reasonable for the... More

Wow. What a fantastic visit. Food got better with the mouthful. Interesting and different combinations that make for a great experience. The steak salad with beetroot, walnuts & strong blue cheese is a must, as are the prawns. Nicest chips i've ever had. Staff friendly & obliging. Not cheap but worth every penny. Will be visiting again soon!!

We were checking the location of Porta, our planned dinner destination for the evening ahead, and saw this place next door, we were told it has the same owner so we decided to have a light lunch. We both had a sandwich from the lunchtime menu, delicious brisket beef with smoked Lancashire cheese and great chips. Good choice of wine... More

I struggle to see why this venue scores so highly on trip advisor, I find it slightly misleading. The high points of the restaurant are the staff, who are extremely attentive and polite with quick speedy service. The food is delicious and the best produce is clearly used. The prices are quite reasonable considering the care that has gone into... More

This restaurant in the city center provided a perfect break as we walked the city walls. The steak sandwiches were excellent, served on ciabatta, and came with a small green salad. The staff is friendly and helpful.
