It had been a while since my wife and I had been for Sunday lunch to Joseph Benjamin, so we decided to pop in last Sunday. They have one choice of roast which will change each week and luckily on Sunday it was the ultra-delicous slow roasted belly pork. Their main menu is still available to diners, but if you... More

I'm so glad we chose the Joseph Benjamin for our 1st Wedding Anniversary meal, it was truly delightful! We are from Birmingham & had booked a night away at the Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa with the intention of finding some fine dining in Chester & having a few drinks in a nice bar before heading back. We had researched... More

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant, the setting is simplistic but charming. The staff were so polite and friendly, with nothing being too much trouble. The food is different, with it being a fantastic mix of flavours and textures. The menu offers a real mix of something that you might not traditionally try, I had the oxtail, which... More

We are locals but turned up on a Friday evening during Chester races- however the staff were very helpful and we enjoyed a small table near the bar. The food was excellent - particularly notable the Tom Sam starter, Steak bavette salad with blue cheese & walnuts and the ice cream with espresso & amaretto. The atmosphere was very relaxed... More

Visited on a sunny day for lunch with my wife and brother. The service was excellent throughout and the food was fantastic. can recommend the Chicken Caesar Salad for sure! Wine a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

This tiny restaurant is located few steps from the ancient city walls. It has few covers so if you want to take the chance to try it you d better reserve a table. The atmosphere is cosy and at the same time chic. As starter I had a plate of vegetarian antipasto to share and as main course I had hake... More

I went thinking I really wanted to try the chicken thighs with chorizo and butter beans, but the Sunday roast - slow cooked pork belly - looked too good to miss. It tasted even better than it looked and was one of the best roasts I've ever had. Dessert was also very good, and prices were very reasonable for the... More

Wow. What a fantastic visit. Food got better with the mouthful. Interesting and different combinations that make for a great experience. The steak salad with beetroot, walnuts & strong blue cheese is a must, as are the prawns. Nicest chips i've ever had. Staff friendly & obliging. Not cheap but worth every penny. Will be visiting again soon!!
