This traditional pub punches way above its weight with its food offering. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who provided impeccable service whilst also manning the bar (we were there on a Monday evening so it was relatively quiet). Starters of Tempura Prawns with a terrific home made salsa sauce and an equally outstanding home made pate. My son... More

We always go here after walking up on the Sandstone trail. It's easy to get to, you can park and walk, and they have a great beer garden. The pies are the best. You have to work up a real appetite if you want a burger or a pie here. The portions are large. Even light bites could feed you... More

Lovely looking pub but i have to be honest i was disappointing on more than one occasion. Its got a good name but its just not my cup of tea. Quite expensive for what you get too.

This is a little out of the way for us but worth the trip. Whilst I have only been here once so far the food and service was very good as was the range of wines. Another one of Cheshire's fine Gastro Pubs that are giving restaurants something to come up to. It is a very pleasant place to eat.

The menu looks quite appealling, well thought out , the staff very freindly , the pricing is competitive , the interior is a bit dated from its former Coppermine days. The food is ok, it could be better presented with a little more flair, but i suppose it is fair value for the money they charge. Would we go back... More

Had coffee here before walking Bickerton Hill and lunch afterwards. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I am allergic to egg and they were happy to modify my meal to accommodate that. We were a party of four and all had different meals. All were enjoyed. The weather was good so we sat outside with the dog but we're advised... More

Good staff - really helpful. Not sure about the duck wrap but other dishes were good, particularly the starters.

We had been to this establishment many times and have had good pub food. However our latest visit left a lot to be desired, the tables were clean but sticky, the vinegar bottle was dirty and the mustard was brought in the bottle. We both had the same meal and were left waiting for nearly half an hour for the food... More
