Went here at lunchtime on Sunday. A really good looking, warm and welcoming inn right on the Sandstone trail, so is an excellent stop off/ starting point for a walk either before or after something to eat. We sat in the conservatory area looking out onto the garden and the hills. A lovely space with a really good amount of... More

We came to this restaurant for lunch over Christmas when we walked some of the sandstone Trail. There were 8 of us in total , 4 adults, 4 children. We did ring ahead to check the pub was open but I am sure they would have fitted us in anyway. There is a nice beer garden which I am sure... More

We came here after being told there was a 2 hour wait at a previous pub and had just missed the serving time. However the kind chef told us he would make us a meal. The other staff were so welcoming and helpful too! The food was delicious (I highly recommend the fish and chips!) and the atmosphere was fantastic.... More

Six of the family met here for luncheon today (7.12.14) - a good time was had by all! Excellent food, large portions, and we were pushed to finish four sweets between the six of us. Thank you Matt & team!

I eat out a couple of times every week and this was the best food I've had since Jamie's Italian. The salad really was that fresh and the Hoisin duck wrap is to die for!!

I recently visited with friends and family who were over from the States. The place was dirty and scruffy. The food was mediocre at best and took an age to arrive even though it wasn't busy. The service also poor, there's relaxed and then there's "couldn't really care" and that's how it felt, wine and glasses plonked on the end... More

The service was excellent, the location lovely, the pub itself had a very homely atmosphere and the food very tasty, great choice and very reasonably priced. Great for meeting friends or family I shall definitely be visiting again soon.

We recently stopped by for a meal and a few drinks and were amazed at the great food and guest ales on offer. Food is reasonably priced and there is enough options to cater for everyone (including vegetarians and those requiring gluten free options). The whole place has a friendly atmosphere and as such I would very much like to... More
