Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, has held a Michelin star for nineteen years running surely a record outside of London. Under the direction of Executive Chef Simon Radley the exceptional modern British menu changes seasonally and uses only the finest ingredients. The cellar is also renowned, having one thousand bins and a sommelier of prodigious knowledge. The dining room itself is as dashing as you would expect with comfy chairs, oriental carpets, fine woods, original artwork, ebony pillars and many-layered tones of gold and taupe. Exquisite!

Although this is one of the dearer restaurants we have dined at, it was by far the best! We had the taster menu and wine taster menu, and both the service we received and the food/drink we had were impeccable.

This is the third time we have eaten here, and yet again the whole evening was very special. The service was exceptional, and the food equally so. Never seen a bread trolley, or Cheese selection like it. The pace of the meal was good, and if you need to celebrate a special occasion then this is the place to do... More

My wife and I dined from the signature menu, not masses of choice, however the quality and presentation of food was excellent. This was backed up with professional and attentive service. At £50/head you really shouldn't expect anything else should you. Will I go back? Definitely. Check out the hotel and breakfast deals, as a package you maybe presently surprised.... More

We have tried a few restaurants of this kind and I must admit this didn't look like a Michelin star place. - Atmosphere was ok with no music - Staff were excellent and presented dishes, bread and wines with professionalism - Bread was great with a huge and interesting variety - Taster menu dishes were excellent for a pub but... Fantastic meal and staff. Restaurant wasn't fully booked, so a bit of background music would have been nice, however, I would definitely recommend the taster menu for a special occasion.

We were staying at the Chester Grosvenor for our wedding anniversary and thought we'd try this restaurant. Very glad we did. The food was wonderful; enough choice but not too much and absolutely delicious from start to finish. Service also superb- just right, not at all snooty as some of these places are. The best meal we've had for ages... More

The food and staff excellent as always. A very enjoyable lunch in Simon Radley's, followed by the afternoon in Arkles lounge. The restaurant and lounge were quieter than usual, however this did affect the overall experience. The staff are very attentive, however not over the top. The menu, £55.00 per head for lunch was excellent value for money, with 3... More
