Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, has held a Michelin star for nineteen years running surely a record outside of London. Under the direction of Executive Chef Simon Radley the exceptional modern British menu changes seasonally and uses only the finest ingredients. The cellar is also renowned, having one thousand bins and a sommelier of prodigious knowledge. The dining room itself is as dashing as you would expect with comfy chairs, oriental carpets, fine woods, original artwork, ebony pillars and many-layered tones of gold and taupe. The service is distinguished by its warmth and professionalism. Top marks.

Excellent restaurant with a touch of theatre

We had the tasting menu and accompanying 'wine flight' and were very pleased. The food was excellent and the wine great and complemented the food well. We actually happened here by chance after stopping in for a martini at the bar. It looked like there had been a late cancellation so we spontaneously decided to eat at Simon Radley. Having been badly burned to the tune of €784.50 at Patrick Guilbaud in Dublin a month ago, I was wary of ever setting foot in a Michelin... More

Another regular Chester venue for Margaret and I. Very stylish for anything from afternoon teas, to cocktails or fine dinning. Perfectly situated for the city centres cultural and shopping venues you feel comfortable from the moment you cross the threshold. One of my favourite venues in North West.

Pure excellence in food! The staff complete the luxury experience by being knowledgeable, offering advice not only on the food but accompanying drinks providing one of the best dining experiences I have had in a while. The scallop starter and beef fillet were mouth-wateringly good

Wonderful food, great service and ambience as ever from this restaurant in the Grosvenor Hotel. Just a pity that it is rarely open at lunchtimes - although the Brasserie in the hotel is also excellent.

My wife and I booked for two nights at the Chester Grosvenor hotel and I forgot to book the main restaurant (Simon Radley). I asked reception to let us know if there were any cancellations, but I wasn't holding my breath. On the Saturday evening I received a telephone call to our room from Jamie the restaurant manager telling me... More

I booked the Tasting menu for my partner's Birthday. It was amazing. That's not to say we haven't eaten at a Michelin establishment before, we have. This was worthy of the star! every single course ( there were 8 but others were included eg canapés with a pre dinner drink and another taster desert) .We did think that the décor... More

Having had our wedding ceremony at The Chester Grosvenor the day prior to our visit we we're very much looking forward to the experience and they certainly didn't disappoint. We arrived early for pre-dinner drinks and received the most warm welcome coupled with a complimentary glass of champagne to toast our marriage. The cocktail menu is full of classics with... More
