The food was lovely and the portions were good. The beer choice was also quite extensive and niçe tasting too. One downside was there were no... More

Never disappointed when we visit the Bear and Billet! Can't go wrong with the Beef brisket Sunday lunch- Yorkshire pudding the size of a babies head! Delicious roast potatoes and a potato croquette. Selection of 3 fresh veg and delicious gravy! Great value at £8.95! Husband had a burger as usual- New Yorker this time. Have to say...the Bear do... More

I already reviewed this restaurant last month but we went again last week and both of us had the steak and ale pie. It is simply the best pie I have eaten. The pie is made on the premises and consists of a very thin perfectly baked crust all around the pie; not just a puff pastry lid. The fill... More

Tasty and plenty of it; one of the nicest home-made burgers i've had in a long time. All the meals I saw looked top notch. Downside for me was the football was on, but there is a restaurant area upstairs. Totally cool with solo travellers. Lovely staff.
