Lovely staff, great food

Stopped off with family for lunch after reading on the Internet that this pub was dog friendly. Double checked on arrival and they confirmed that dogs were allowed downstairs. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Staff couldn't be any friendlier. Would definitely go back here if in the area.

This was our second visit to the Bear and Billet, very friendly barmaid who recommended a nice pint of ale. I was going to have steak pie but found out it had mushroom in it so had a chicken and ham pie instead, my wife had posh corned beef hash. We both enjoyed our choices and will return on our... More

Been here a few times before so was about time I reviewed it. Lovely old fashioned wooden beamed pub with an upstairs room for customers as well. A large selection of beers and a menu to cater for all tastes. We had the chicken tikka and it was spot on. Great place to relax after a day of walking
