Good food

We went here for a tennerfest but found that as with a lot of tennerfest menus what we liked was restrictive and certainly not a starter, main and dessert choice. So we picked from the a la carte. The Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection (I like medium-rare and my wife likes medium so I tend... read more

Not been back here to island for some years, but taken by our friends Roy and Janet who live on island for many, many year's. Fabulous, decor and welcome so perfect and genuine. Grand to be called Madam ! Food exquisite, my fish was in lemon butter style sauce, and was the best sea bass I have ever eaten, and... More

Staying in St Martins we walked from there to Petit Bot bay and then east along the coast to Saint's Bay and then a little further along looking for somewhere to have lunch. La Barbarie had been recommended to us but how to find it? Eventually we found a landmark and from there we found the restaurant about 15/20 minutes... More

We were staying in the hotel for 1 night and from arrival to checkout everything was superb. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was memorable. The staff are both profesional, freindly and welcoming. The food was presented and cooked very well with very generous portions, I loved the scallops. The wine list has lots of choice... More

We stopped at this restaurant following a personal recommendation and were not disappointed. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and wide-ranging. The presentation of the food is excellent, only just beaten by the flavour. It is no wonder they have so many accolades for their food, including mentions in the Michelin guide, and other prizes, proudly displayed in the... More

We stayed at La Barbarie for five days this month and the welcome we received from the management and staff was exceptional. The restaurant offers a wide range of culinary options and the meals we had there were of a very high standard. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. This is one hotel we would definitely visit again and again.

We stumbled across La Barbarie by chance whilst on holiday and it was certainly one of the best meals we,ve had so far.The setting is beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive but not overpowering and the food just speaks for itself. The menu is wide and varied, a good selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes all beautifully presented. We were... More

This is a great restaurant. Whether staying in the hotel or not you are made to feel very welcome. I would strongly suggest that you make a reservation as it is a very popular and busy restaurant. Andy and his team do a fantastic job, and from the moment you walk in you are made to feel like a long... More
