This is a lovely restaurant - friendly service and excellent food, albeit a bit too spicy hot for my palate! The menu is varied and their Tapas are delightful. The ambience is lovely, however, and a good place for a quiet dinner for two.

We ate here twice during our stay in Alderney and both times the food was superb. The goat curry was delicious as was the lamb tagine and we enjoyed trying the tapas as starters. Definitely recommend Gloria's. We also enjoyed calling in for a coffee in the morning always nicely served.

As soon as you enter the restaurant, the atmosphere is humble and welcoming. The staff are happy, lively people who love to have a chat with you. The food, by the gods i have never had so much amazing food in my life. Every dish has a story behind it and every dish is so delicious, you find it hard... More

3 of us had a superb meal here tonight, the Squid starter was to die for, and the 'One' Burger large, juicy and perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere, pleased we booked as it was packed.

Thanks Trip Advisor, found this one because of you. Simply food obviously prepared with love and care. Book for night time though, but excellent for lunches and teas.

Had a fantastic meal at Gloria's this week. Four of us enjoyed a multitude of tapas and a couple of main courses. The food was wonderful - other than the cappacino mousse which had very little coffee flavour to it. The saddest thing however was the waiter who, whilst processing our hosts card payment, was texting on his phone.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I can only apologise for the conduct of our waiter; rest assured we do not accept that kind of lapse in service level at Gloria's Food and, as hopefully evidenced in most reviews here, we pride ourselves on our friendly and attentive service. (He'll be on dish duty for a... More

This very small restaurant gets a BIG rating from me. It is a culinary delight and provides a lovely new experience if you are taking new visitors to the island. They will not be expecting the sophistication of the menu which provides a wide variety of food, something for everyone, and they will each love their choice! Some Spicy choices,... More

We were in Alderney for a wedding and stumbled across Gloria's due to its trip advisor reviews. It absolutely lives up to its expectation and the food was fab. It is quite an eclectic mix of stuff but all of us agreed the food and service was excellent. We were served by a young guy who was a good laugh... More

This is a small, ambitious restaurant cooking an intriguing range of international food, e.g. tagines, Jamaican lamb stew, Fijian fish stew. A good wine list, and bottles of the excellent Channel Islands Liberation Ale, which is well worth a try. Booking is essential because it fills up very rapidly, and the word has gone round about how good it is.
