This is a little jewel in Victoria Street. The menu range is perfectly adequate for a light lunchtime snack or for tea and cakes. Prices are fair, the staff are happy and welcoming and food is great. The location at the foot of Victoria Street is easily found and there's lots of room on the sunmy terrace if you prefer... More

All home made food. Pea and Ham soup fantastic, Caesar Salad fresh and interesting with anchovies, Beer Battered Haddock and Chips with Mushy Peas. Crisp Chenin Blanc and smooth and dry South African red. Great service, friendly atmosphere, good value. Best of Alderney eating. Best place to eat on the island!

Superb ****** Just happened to be in Alderney during the food festival and booked into Jack's Brasserie for their 'newly launched' traditional Alderney afternoon tea. Zero food miles on all 3 courses of mouth watering delicacies created by chef Andy. Owner, Steve is planning to make this a Saturday fixture - if you are visiting Alderney don't miss it.

As part of Alderney's Food & Drink Festival, Jack's took part by introducing an "Alderney Afternoon Tea" on two consecutive Wednesdays when they presented a tea which at least equalled that previously experienced elsewhere, such as the Pump Rooms in Bath and the Waldorf in London. With a choice of teas on arrival, a platter of sandwiches, including egg, cream... More

We had a full Alderney tea here as part of the Food Festival fortnight and what a tea it proved to be in every way. The tea consisted of four types of sandwich to start followed by individual salmon mousse pastry cases. then the piece de resistance home made chocolate brownies and lemon flavoured cup cakes......finally as if we had... We've been here for many years, prior to when it was Jack's, and continue to go when we are over in Alderney. The service is quick, and the coffee and cakes lovely.
