Visited the much acclaimed white pheasant tonight with my fiancée . Very warm welcome from the French maître d . Sat down and from then on were treated impeccably. The chef Calvin even came out to say hello. We went for the chefs taster menu which is a chance for the chefs to show off and boy did they live... More

The food really is something special here, cooked to perfection, well balanced flavours with little exciting touches to tickle the tastebuds. The service is excellent as well, very friendly and attentive. We had 3 courses and wine and it only came to £70. We've happily paid a lot more than that for less exciting meals elsewhere. Already can't wait to... More

From the welcome to the bill settling everything at The White Pheasant was top notch. The presentation and execution of excellent quality ingredients in all the courses was superb. The service was efficient and respectfully friendly. Could not fault a thing, particularly at the hands of a 25 year old, cooking like a man of far more maturity.

Today I was lucky enough to be treated to the five-course taster menu, On arrival my friend and I were warmly greeted by Yan, the restaurant manager, and the lovely Andrea. We were shown to our seats in the stylish relaxed, spotless restaurant. The courses were a delight to the eye, then the palette. I never thought an ordinary person... More

Can not recommend the tasting menu highly enough. We had a delightful meal with attentive friendly service, wished we lived closer ,then this would be a regular haunt. But we will be back when next holidaying in the area.

We drove here from over 50 miles away to have lunch with friends and it was so worth the journey. From the warm welcome to the home made 'petit fours' this was a truly pleasurable experience. The last time we had food tasting and looking this good was in a 2 Michelin star restaurant. The food was simply amazing on the... More

We had the 5 course taster menu & every dish was of high quality & some wonderful tastes. My only complaint was the noise in the restaurant, I think this is due to sound resonating from the wooden floor to the ceiling, it made conversation on our table hard. But to repeat the food was very good

Just had an outstanding meal at The White Peasant. To keep it simple; they have an incredibly talented kitchen and a first class front of house. Not only did the food deliver on taste but it was some of the most visually appealing food i've come across. Flavours, textures and colours to get hold of all of your senses! Make... More

We went for my wife's birthday on the recommendation of recent reviews, and we were not disappointed. The new owners have done an excellent job in presenting a very good restaurant with high quality food and service. The charming young chef had learned a lot from working at a Michelin starred restaurant, and it shows. The presentation and quality of... More
