The food in this restaurant is excellent. Unfortunately, the service undermines the quality of the food. Despite the best efforts of the staff, they lack professional training. Furthermore, I was rather shocked when the head waiter (who sounded French possibly?), pointed to his temples and wagged his finger to gesticulate that the rest of the staff are idiots. We booked online, I was contacted quickly and offered a time for Sunday lunch. Restaurant is very clean, felt homely and staff very friendly. Starters tasted fresh and the beef roast was complemented by a tasty gravy. I chose the steak and it was cooked well. Sticky toffee dessert was nice to finish the meal. If I had one gripe,... More

Delicious and tasty cuisine with a lovely atmosphere. Small portion sizes yet expected for an a la carte menu. Cost including tip came to £40 each without any alcohol, this was a starter a main and a shared dessert only. Service was average but expected for a Saturday night. Overall a fine dining experience.

This restaurant is just a little jem just to the south of Ely Camb's. The welcome was warm and our party of six were led to our table straight away. Drinks were ordered and the Sunday menu's were handed out together with an explanation of the dishes that were added too . Orders taken we all sat back any enjoyed... More

If you like excellent food, excellent service and excellent value for money then you would be silly not to try this place. Been here a couple of times now and cannot fault anything about the place. Such good value for outstanding quality food. If you're looking to impress without a pretentious setting this should be your first port of call.

Went here on a Travelzoo deal of £49 for 5 course taster menu for two people. This was an epicurean delight, with wonderful unusual combinations of flavours and textures. Horseradish icecream was one of our favourites. The full price of £79 might have been a bit high, but considering the work that must have gone into each dish still not... More

We ate the 5-course tasting menu and I can honestly say the food was the second best meal I have ever had - the first being Gordon Ramsey's Michelin starred Petrus Restaurant in London. It was a lovely surprise to find such a good restaurant in our local area. Unfortunately we didn't try the wines as we were driving but... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the White Pheasant on Friday 6th March. The food was well presented and of excellent quality. Service was of a similar standard. All in all first class experience.

We ordered the taster menu and each course was delicious! not dishes i would normally order but that's what made the night so special with each a little surprise on a plate. The treatment from all the staff was second to none and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending. Great restaurant and hard working team . Thank you
