Stopped off here on the way to Forest Holidays. The farm shop is a bit pricey but good produce. We also enjoyed their cake and a coffee and the children enjoyed the play area. A great stop off.

Went here with husband, son and daughter-in-law and had a really good lunch. Good choice of starters, mains and desserts to die for. The choice of salads was really extensive - I chose smoked salmon and prawns and there was lots of it. We had lunch in the 'quiet room' which was good. Three choices of venue to eat in.... More

This is a very busy cafe on a Sunday morning for breakfast and when the breakfast arrives you can see why. The plates of well presented piping hot breakfast are delivered with a smile and a willing can we get you anything else. The breakfast products are quality local ones cooked very well. Well worth a visit but on days... More

We have used La Hogue several times for a break in our journey as it is just after the A14/A11 turn off on the way to Norwich. It is also used by other members of my family as is so preferable to the generic motorway stops. You can stock up on good quality food in the farm shop and enjoy... More

Our local favourite, actually closer to Newmarket than Ely I would think. It suits all our family my mother ( 90 Christmas Eve ) likes to come for her birthday, we have a quiet family meal - no turkey, just the start the festivities. My grandson age 6 often requests to go to La Hogue, he likes the Children's platter,... More

Has a great shop with fresh produce. The cafe was busy at lunchtime and had to wait in line to make our order but it was worth it for the good home style cooking. Had sunday lunch with gave generous servings. Had coffee and desert also, all home baked desserts looked really good, hard to choose but went for plum... More

Great breakfast, one of our regular stops. Quick, friendly service. Coffee not so good though! Lovely farm shop to look round.

Found this on our way to Norfolk on holiday today and decided to stop off for lunch. So glad we did! We were able to sit outside with the dog but there was plenty of seating for anyone who wanted to sit inside including a 'quiet room' which was very thoughtful. Food was excellent. Hubby was feeling particularly hungry and... More

It was a lovely, hot, sunny day and we could have sat outside but there were families with young children enjoying the outside play area with picnic tables so we stayed inside where it was cool. We headed straight to the restaurant and sat in a pleasant, cool room with pine-style furniture and interesting pictures on the walls and windows... More
