Drive past the services and feel very smug.

Excellent Sunday lunch, very friendly efficient service fair value. For a cafe venue it punches way above it's weight. Bought our tea on the way out.

My family and I visited for breakfast; the food was nice, nothing special. They claim the food is local produce but I'm not convinced. The service was a bit slow and haphazard. The puddings were incredibly expensive, over £9 for two. Very poor value. We'll stick with Simpsons at Fordham.

We have been regulars at La Hogue for some time now, and up until last Friday the food, waitresses and service have been very good. However, I think the combination as above must have tipped them into overload last Friday. They were very busy, which is nice. We went in the "garden room" which although it does not say "no... I had a 'Suffolk Breakfast' in the very pleasant cafe. Very nicely presented and very tasty. The staff were very pleasant too. Had great difficulty choosing a piece of strawberry cheesecake to take away for my wife (the choice is fantastic) which we ultimately shared. Delicious! The farm shop is well worth a visit too.

As we haven't been to La Hogue for Sunday lunch for a while, time to try again; telephoned to reserve a table, very courteous, arrived on time and led to our table in the Garden Room (valuably quietier). Short queue for food, chose roast turkey, and roast beef. 9.95 each. It came within about ten minutes, loads of meat, ditto... More

Feeling peckish en route to Great Yarmouth, my husband and I spotted a sign for the La Hogue Farm Stall and Cafe. Since we prefer to avoid all the chain-owned, cookie cutter services, this caught our interest as a viable alternative. We weren't disappointed! Many of their ingredients are local, and there seems to be an emphasis on ethical sourcing... More

Great cakes and coffee when out on the bike, staff are excellent and efficient when groups of lycra clad cyclists appear demanding coffee and cake. Also a great farm shop for those who want to spend a bit more time there and have come in transport able to cart away their shopping!

Very good menu - plenty of choice at very reasonable prices. Good choice for anyone who needs gluten free food or who has any special dietary requirements. Two gluten-free cakes left me with a very hard decision to make. Spacious, bright airy restaurant. Plenty of seating. Excellent friendly service. La Hogue also has a very good farm shop. I don't...
