Had we read the reviews we wouldn't have gone; we didn't, we went and enjoyed it so much we returned a few weeks later. The lunchtime menu was great, simple, affordable, family friendly. Service was great, food tasty and hot, quick to arrive and no complaints from any of the six of us. Good selection of ales and wines. We... More

I have to say I'm a bit of a food snob, and hate standard pub food, which tends to be beige and deep-fried, but we were on a two week holiday and it can get quite expensive eating out every night when you're a family of 4 with 2 strapping teenagers. So we were delighted to find The Lamb which... More

Tiny Portions, cocky manager, slow service and horrible food. I had a voucher for 50% of my mains which, after arguing over the validity of it, managed to pay for the shockingly small amount of dry, unappetising food presented. Glad I didn't pay full price. Should have asked for my money back really but just couldn't be bothered with the... More

We have eaten here on several occasions over the past year and the recurring theme is that the kitchen cannot keep up with orders. That said when the food arrives it is piping hot and of good standard fare. Good menu. Worth a try but be patient if its the weekend.

Oh dear!!! Ely ,Ely,Ely!!!!! A once grand establishment and now a non-descript barn of a place. Very pleasant staff. Prices reasonable. Food...the usual UK "fodder". Surely one place in Ely can get it right?? It's no good having an oversized church a.k.a cathedral and nowhere decent to eat. Perhaps that is why the cathedral was built? So desperate were the... The Lamb looks like an attractive place to grab a drink or some food and after walking around Ely and the cathedral, my partner and I decided to do just that, however we found it to be one of the worst 'meals' we have ever had out. The building itself is smart and the menu looks really appealing but we... More

with the steady decline of the pub world converting into poncey food eateries or closing down altogether it is refreshing to see a good old fashioned pub, good ale good food friendly locals and staff. what more could you want?

We came in as it was the nearest pub to our car park. The food was slow in arriving and was ok, little tasteless but not unpleasant. I would rather have walked further for better food. Not a place I would go to again.

Every 2 months or so we meet up with friends here to catch up and have a nice meal in pleasant surroundings. We love the atmosphere of an old coaching inn and the decor inside the inn. Food is cooked to perfection and of a good standard. Would recommend the varied menu.Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Well I could die of old age waiting tonight. What is wrong with this place. Green King is a large brewery can't you get it right here just once. Ely a place where nothing is allowed to happen and the Lamb sad excuse for the premier hotel in the city.
