Well I could die of old age waiting tonight. What is wrong with this place. Green King is a large brewery can't you get it right here just once. Ely a place where nothing is allowed to happen and the Lamb sad excuse for the premier hotel in the city.

Your ok here for a family meal thats not too pricey and you don' t want a huge meal! The desserts are very small too and expensive for what you get. The strangest lasagne i have ever had...more like a cottage pie with thick gravy. The haddock mornay was better in quality but small. It's a shame as the staff... More

As someone who is local to the area, I have seen the Lamb Hotel struggle to find its place and it has decided that it is going for the bottom end of the market. We wanted some quick and inexpensive food and so after much reluctance to try the Lamb. You should also go with your gut feeling. The place... More

The lunch was pretty good, served quickly, and the staff were very pleasant. All in all, not a bad place to stop for a quick lunch.

We had travelled by train to Ely to attend a performance of Berlioz' Grande Messe des Morts in Ely Cathedral and had arranged to meet up with some friends from Cambridge for dinner. Entering the hotel? bar? pub? restaurant? we struggled to figure out how it all worked. Eventually we found a waitress who, happily, found our booking and took... More

My partner and I dropped into The Lamb yesterday evening for a quick bite to eat. The Lamb is a lovely building, spacious and airy with high ceilings in the beautiful and historic city of Ely. It has great potential as a 'gastro pub' but in my humble opinion will struggle to ever be more than a 'low rent' boozer... More

Went with a group to have drinks following a wedding celebration. Nice atmosphere, we ordered some hot snacks from the bar which were reasonable. we didn't use the restaurant but it looked fairly busy. I would go there for a drink again.

We had a lunchtime meal here on a Saturday. We ordered Macaroni Cheese. The pasta had hardly any sauce and what there was definitely did not taste of cheese and the tiny amount of salad had certainly seen better days. Dreadful!

Nice atmosphere, and the waitress was able to accommodate an extra person at our table by bringing another chair without fuss. Prices are very reasonable (six people for £35), but food quality was very hit and miss. The steak and ale pie was great, as was the salad and bangers and mash. However, the burger was overcooked to the point... More
