Was really looking forward to a nice evening at The Willow Tree but it didn't meet our expectations and was left feeling very disappointed and probably won't be going back. Our meal was very late, we were told on several occasions that it was just coming only to wait for a further 20-30 mins, it wasn't that busy so no... More

We tried this place on a warm Friday. We chose to eat indoors. We had the option of eating on the covered patio (most people were). Inside it was cooler and quieter and we were able to relax. The waitress was pouring drinks when we arrived but took the time to greet us and allocate us a table during this... More

Lovely restaurant with superb service and food lovely. Good price range and something for everyone. Love the idea of teepee dinning experience.

We've been here twice now and it's just wonderful. The staff are faultless, the food amazing and the wine delicious. This isn't the place for you if you need huge portions but it's plenty to fill you up and we had bread and oils to start with which was gorgeous. It is expensive so wouldn't do it too often but... Lovely looking pub! Really good food, I had the pulled pork burger which was great. The starters were far too small though and didn't represent good value for money. The mains are huge. I had the duck starter as did another friend. It was more like an amouse bouchée and was finished in literally 3 mouthfuls. Didn't make sense as... More

A quaint little eatery with a quirky interior. A small, yet adventurous menu with a range of delicious choices. I went for the calamari to start which was tasty, if a little salty. For main I had the pulled pork burger, which I can honestly say was the best burger I have ever eaten! It could be likened to a... More

Decor interesting but a little uncomfortable. Service eager but amateurish. (Particularly dislike the purple 'towels' used to serve the food.) Food imaginative but tastes as though the chef does not check and taste himself/herself before it is served. Two of my dozen mussels were not open and the wine 'sauce' was a little bitter. Crab mixture in salad too rich... More

Called at the Willow Tree as we were passing. Pleased we did, thought the food was delicious, and reasonably priced.

Been here on three occasions now and each time it has delighted. Service is a little rough around the edges but it's all the more quaint for just that. Food is delicious and is served in a restaurant full of little quirks such as the specials chalkboard being an old fashioned ladies dressing mirror. Fun and great food.

We visited The Willow Tree last Friday with friends. Pre-dinner drinks on the terrace at the back went down well. Good, attentive service. Food was tasty and fresh. The candle-lit atmosphere in the dining room was lovely. Three courses with drinks came to £40 a head, which seemed very reasonable, especially considering what we have paid at other less polished...
