We had the most wonderful dinning experience to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It was a very special moment. Food is exceptional and the wine is truly top class. The staff and atmosphere is wonderful which complements the great dishes. Highly recommend!

I took my wife to this amazing restaurant to celebrate her 50th birthday. We based our whole visit to Cambridge around visiting this restaurant. We arrived slightly early, we were welcomed very warmly with each of the waiting staff greeting us. We were seated immediately, we were then offered a delicious selection of canapés. Then the champagne arrived, an impressive... More

This restaurant is truly exceptional - it is very expensive though and is a once in 10 year experience unless you are seriously rich! Nevertheless it is really lovely, unusual and exciting food combinations, different wines selected for each course a truly memorable experience.

Our party had dinner in the private dining room which is very glam and has its own outside deck overlooking the river. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food and wine fabulous. Can't fault it. The reputation is well-deserved.

My husband and I visited Midsummer House on my 40th birthday and what a special time I had. We did not mentioned prior to us arriving that it was a special occasion for me as we are always aware that with such quality food comes a busy chef so we did not want to intrude on that. On our arrival... More

Having previously to a couple of Michelin star restaurants this stands out as one of our favourites for the food and experience. We didn't find it too rich and heavy as we did with the French and enjoyed every course more than Le Manoir/ Alimentum.

I was taken here for a special treat by my husband and I don't think we could have asked for more. We opted for the 7 course menu and were glad we did as on top of those 7 courses we had several appetisers and chocolates after the meal. We were so full by around the 5th course that we... More

Some people might not agree as fancy food might not be their thing, but this is definitely worth a visit just for the experience, the place was smaller than I imagined however this made for a more intimate and less intimidating atmosphere. The amount of work that must go into each course shows immediately as even the tiniest morsel on... More

A fabulous experience, probably the best meal ever. We had a very warm welcome, staff were fantastic, ambience perfect for a decadant day out with friends, light and fun - not in the least pretentious. Food was amazing - every course delightful and exquisitely presented. We would not hesitate in recommending.
