Took my parents here for a special treat as they were visiting Cambridge. Opted for the seven course tasting menu. Absolutely exquisite. Still trying to decide whether the quail or the scallop course was my favourite. Amazing flavours, textures and skill in each and every dish. Was given a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar by the Northern Irish... More

After being showed to our table, a waiter appeared with a trolley, as if by magic 6 bottles of champagne rose majestically from its interior and we were asked if we wished to sample one of them. . Having carefully read the reviews and realised that there would be a number of extras, we chose the 7 courses rather than... More

Great food, surroundings and service. My partner and I chose to have the 10 course dinner menu but abstained from the accompanying wine option as we thought it would be too much to consume in one evening as we were told it would equate to around a bottle each. However, the Sommelier said he would be happy to split one... More

We had booked a table for a celebratory lunch and were all really looking forward to it - so much so that we were slightly worried that it wouldn't live up to expectations. We needn't have worried - we had the most wonderful afternoon eating the most delicious food!! We had some dietary restrictions which we had mentioned at the... More

Just as good as we thought. Charming service. Clean, crisp and tidy. Food was second to none . Will return sooner rather than later.

We went for the 10 course at lunchtime. It was great food... tiny portions x10 was very filling, especially with wine and nibbles added. Contrary to other comments, we don't agree that it compares so well to The Fat Duck, as they do attempt to put on a bit of a show and make it an experience rather than just... More

From the word go, our experience at Midsummer was amazing. There is nothing not to like about the place. Food was amazing - as the title suggests we had the 10 course taster menu and every dish was great. I liked the fact there's a window in the restaurant looking into the kitchen so that you can see everything going... More

It was just over a year ago when we first visited Midsummer House as out first experience of Michelin starred food at which time we were blown away by both the food and service. Since then we have been fortunate to have eaten at a number of highly rated 1, 2, and 3 Michelin starred restaurants. Our visit this time... More

Had an excellent evening. My partner and I both had the 10 course menu, and I had the flight of wine also. Each course was exquisite and the accompanying wine only enhanced the experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the venue had a nice relaxed atmosphere. My partner is pregnant, and alternative courses were provided that were just... More
