I don’t think I can say anything that hasn’t be said before, except agree and ask why this restaurant isn’t number one, Its simply outstanding. I had heard many good things, and finally decided to treat myself before Christmas and it lived up to all my expectations. I think I was slightly in disbelief that a restaurant of this standard... I had rather given up with Cambridge restaurants as most are mediocre. Cotto has broken the trend and offers a truly excellent dinning experience. The food is imaginative and cooked to perfection. The presentation is superb and the service was attentive and prompt without being intrusive. The wine list is excellent. They offer a good choice of menu and the... More

My husband and I dined at Cotto yesterday evening. The welcome was warm and professional, and the restaurant has a warm and inviting ambience. The food was absolutely top notch - from the five different types of bread freshly baked that day (and proffered at least three times during the meal) and delicious amuse-bouches to the incredible confections at dessert.... Went for my first anniversary with my partner and had an absolutely brilliant time. Such tasty food, good portions, really attentive service. Worth a particular mention was the sommelier who recommended some excellent wines and fortified wines to go with our respective meals and also the chocolates. I've been to restaurants with Michelin stars with worse food... Brilliant and totally... More

I've been to Cotto several times now and it does not disappoint. All aspects of the meal are extremely good, from the freshly made choice of breads to the chocolates at the end of the meal. My husband, who is not a vegetarian, always goes for the vegetarian dish because he says it is the best vegetarian meal he's ever... More

Cotto is my favorite restaurant in Cambridge. The food is extremely good with nice presentation but not at the expense of taste as is the case at some fancier restaurants. The dishes are interesting and tasty with deep flavors showing the experience of the great Swiss German chef. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The service is excellent and very friendly... There are very few establishments in East of England that consistently produce dishes of this quality. Hans and his team are totally dedicated to great diligence in the preparation, cooking and presentation of all the comes from his kitchen. They work hard to ensure that every single item leaves them with not only high level of culinary skill but also... More

Our first visit to Cotto on Saturday was an absolute delight. Our vegetarian meal was superb from start to finish. The restaurant was full but service was prompt and heart-warmingly attentive. We have so often been disappointed by the attitude to vegetarians in Cambridge restaurants, often feeling that we have to apologise for our inconvenient dietary requirements. We left Cotto on... This is a hugely popular place and you'll need to make reservations as early in advance as possible (weeks, even months). It is unquestionably the best restaurant in Cambridge. Have dinner here. You won't be disappointed and you'll definitely be back.

Wonderful food, well presented and of superb quality and flavours bursting in your mouth, truly an exceptional experience. The 3 course meal came all in good time and was presented by superbly trained staff, polite and super-efficient and attentive. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit, as I will be back soon when looking for a special night out for dinner.
