Simply exceptional.. One of the best in Cambridge

Dinner at Cotto is a must. The food is absolutely stunning, fresh bread, seafood cooked to perfection and the chocolate masterpiece really is a masterpiece. The atmosphere and service cannot be faulted, good wine list, overall a wonderful restaurant and well worth a visit.

Three of us went out to celebrate a significant birthday. We remember the days when Master Chef Schweizer was at Midsummer House (before it got taken over by the snooty London clientele and manners), and were not surprised to find all the things we used to like there, back in the day.We had tried to get a table at Cotto... As a couple we eat out a fair bit around the country, and rarely do we leave feedback; but if this review encourages more people to eat at Cotto then I'll press submit happy. Thursday was our first trip to Cambridge, a trip made to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. We generally use TripAdvisor as our guide in new places, it's... More

Cambridge is a difficult place to find a restaurant that is 'better' than one of the numerous chains, but less ostentatious/serious/not so observant of ritual than Midsummer House (which is amazing, and in a league of it's own on a national, bordering on international scale). Where do you go when you want brilliant service with impressive food and wine? The... More

Everything at cotto was brilliant. The food was beautifully presented and was amazing without being pretentious. The staff were attentive an helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and not stuffy. Highly recommended.

My partner and I ate at Cotto to celebrate her birthday. The experience was deeply enjoyable from start to finish. Cotto is a small, intimate restaurant. The reception desk, kitchen and toilets are on the ground floor; the dining area is upstairs. The service was faultless – attentive without being intrusive; polite but not overly formal. We were warmly welcomed,... More

The food at Cotto's is really very good. Beautiful presentation, unusual menu (the way the actual menu is written is rather odd- it needs the course headers adding - leaving them off isn't 'modern' just poor communication) and pretty tasty. What I hadn't understood as we were guests of local friends is that you have to have 3 courses minimum... More

Thought we'd give this restaurant a try after seeing the reviews on here and I am so glad we did. This is a superb restaurant. Service and ambience were fab and the food was truely delicious. We called ahead because my husband is coeliac (can't have gluten). We were sent the menu so my husband could choose his meals in... More

Best restaurant in Cambridge by a country mile. Great cooking, balanced wine list and lovely dining room. Not always open when you might expect it to be, which adds to the charm. Book early mind, can be tres busy.

I don’t think I can say anything that hasn’t be said before, except agree and ask why this restaurant isn’t number one, Its simply outstanding. I had heard many good things, and finally decided to treat myself before Christmas and it lived up to all my expectations. I think I was slightly in disbelief that a restaurant of this standard...
