If you're reading this review, chances are that you're trying to choose between places like Restaurant 22, Alimentum, Midsummer House and Cotto. As someone who has eaten at all four on more than one occasion I can say that - in relation to the first two - I wish I hadn't. There IS no competition - Cotto has similar prices... More

My daughter was the one who told me this restaurant would be good, but this is not really true. The restaurant food is more than good, excellent and superb are better words. The service is very good as well, just one look at one of the waiters and he is there at your command. When I go back to Cambridge,... More

If you like fine dining without a pretentious atmosphere then you'll love Cotto. We ate three courses and the flavoured were well selected and complementary to each other and we left feeling that we'd had good value for money. Overall a great experience.

Very friendly and welcoming upon entering restaurant, brought promptly to table inside restaurant with a really light, airy and welcoming ambience (reminded of midsummer house). Was offered some prawn and tomato tartlets as amuse bouche which were very tasty and a wide selection of bread coupled with a very nice truffle/wild garlic spread. Food only got better from raviolo to... More

a brilliant foodie's experience from an ex.Midsummer chef but without the crazy prices. The taste combinations and adventurous foods all worked amazingly. They used flavours and foods that you most likely would have heard of but with a twist. That worked a lot better than a similar visit to Midsummer which was a great deal more expensive and at times... More

This was a return visit to Cotto since a lunchtime call some years ago, but it was the first time we had visited in the evening (it is no longer open at midday). We went with high expectations and found them matched in every respect. First, as a recent gluten free diner, it's worth me saying that the restaurant had... More

Warmly greeted and shown table. The well-thought out and beautifully prepared food delightful. A range of fresh, warm breads delicious. Attentive but not overly so waiting staff in the long, light dining room made this birthday meal truly a treat. Expensive but worth it. Reservation essential.
