My local coffee shop, and my favourite

I go to the Gwydir Street one most days early in the morning. The staff are great, the coffee is excellent and they will grind it for you to go. It's family friendly too.

We hadn't been to Cambridge for ages, and decided to try somewhere different for coffee, so we seeked out Hot Numbers in Gwydir St. A lovely building and busy which is normally a good sign. We ordered the large cappuccinos extra hot which at £2.90 you would expect to be large/ish, strong and extra hot. Sadly it was about the... More

This cafe is fairly new and a real find. Great location on trumpington st just beyond the really heaving bit of Cambridge, nice independent coffee shop feeling and very friendly with top quality coffee. If you want to chill on a weekend morning get there fairly early as it's deservedly popular. Highly recommend.

Great coffee- free WiFi. Perfect for informal business meetings. Could have a bit more range on menu, but nice atmosphere and parking close by.

I am sure that my tastebuds that gained me wine certificates, and helped me become a trained chef and a coffee freak, with barista training to boot, have not led me astray in tasting the coffee at Hot Numbers. On both occasions of visiting your cafe's and ordering medium size black Americano, the coffee on both occasion looked like onion... More

Well worth the stroll down Trumpington St , passed the awful Hotel Du Vin ( expensive, zero atmosphere, service deficient ), for a coffee or snack. Very good food and cakes, well presented, and lovely coffee. A great meeting place, modern decor and a bustling atmosphere

Without a doubt the finest coffee in Cambridge, competing with the best I've had in London and trips to Italy. I now only buy my coffee beans from there, and their double ristretto is something to behold. Forget Starbucks, forget Costa, forget anywhere else in the area, this is the place to go!

We happened upon this place thanks to one of the reviewers of the other Hot Numbers coffee shop when looking for other coffee shops for breakfast on our latest visit to Cambridge. Well it's just as good - great flat white coffee and bacon sandwiches! It seemed less busy, but perhaps that was just the time of day - early... More

Perfectly roasted and made espresso; very good tasty bacon sandwich. Good atmosphere. Pity the crockery wasn't a bit more elegant and not chipped.
