We were in a party of 11 on a busy Saturday lunchtime. The service was friendly prompt and efficient. All the mains were freshly cooked, looked appetising and tasted wonderful. The portions were very good but I would advise to save room for pudding ! The choice from the menu and the specials is extensive so need a return visit... More

Monday lunch, not too busy, friendly staff, clean and tidy, food was tasty as usual, well worth a weekly visit.

We live reasonably near to the Old Crown but just recently visited for the first time. We had a lovely meal which suited all tastes - one of our party will eat only very traditional food (meat and two veg) while I am a veggie. A good impression on arrival as the restaurant is well presented with a light airy... More

Visited here last Friday, it was very nice as always clean a nice bustling atmosphere. Food as always was great I had the filet steak off of the specials menu which was cooked perfectly only s couple of criticisms, one being that in the last 3 times I have been here in the last 4 or 5 months the daily... Large party of us enjoyed a meal here everyone said their mains were tasty and my gammon was beautifully cooked and a huge portion. Desserts were amazing and even though I have a sweet tooth I was beaten by the amount on my plate. I liked the fact one of the party having crumble got both ice cream and custard... More

We went here for dinner on Saturday evening were shown to our table very quickly and served drinks. The food was lovely and could not be faulted! Very large portions so 2 courses is always enough for me and my boyfriend. Deserts are amazing and highly recommended.

We had lunch with somw friends. What can I say, this pub tick all the boxes. Food, service, ambience and child friendly. It was by far the best pub I visited in Cambridge.

The food is lovely, it's great value with the sunday lunch menu: 1 course £9.95, 2 £15, 3 £17. I had 1 course, whilst others had 3, I was full up and the meal was delicious. I always seem to be a bit hit and miss with beef, but the beef here was lovely (not gristly and horrible), the creamed... More

We went for a lunchtime meal following a recommendation from friends and were not disappointed. The restaurant was pleasant and it was a reasonable wait for the food (expected when it is freshly cooked). Portions were very good and the food very tasty. Service was friendly. Desserts were also big portions and very nice. We would recommend a visit.

This was my first visit to the Old Crown and I know it won't be the last. I shared the Monday night special menu with a friend. £29 for two mains, a glass of wine and a (very large) shared dessert. We both had the salmon which was cooked to perfection with good vegetables and chips. There is an extensive... More
