Very good food and very good service

This is the second time I have eaten at the Blue Lion. The first was for Mother's Day (they squeezed us in on a hectic day with only a same day booking which was good!). We tried the 3 different roasts they had which were all pretty good, although I think the lamb was probably the best of them... read more

This is the second time we had eaten here, The first time being faultless, with both service and food. This time, I had a lovely meal , I chose the Macaroni cheese burger with the pulled pork, I have to say I couldn't fault it. However, My partner chose the beer battered fish and chips, on our previous visit we... More

We called in here for lunch the other day having visited in the past and always been more than happy. Unfortunately, whilst my husband said his pork was delicious, my burger was dry and the chips were almost cold. The salad with it was limp and there was no noticeable cheese flavour - I personally wouldn't want to eat here... More

We visited the Blue Lion as it was close to Wallis Farm self catering where we were staying. When we arrived we were asked if we had booked which we hadn't, but we're almost immediately shown to a table. We were shown the menu and the specials board. The food, once ordered, arrived quickly. The plates were extremely hot (good!)... More

Very nice atmosphere, good range of beers, outside play area for kids with good pub food. Wouldnt call it gastro but the burgers was great. Service very warm and professional. About 15 mins from Cambridge.

Passed through on the way back from holiday with the family. Very friendly, clean and tidy little pub. Food was nice and well presented. Both adult and kids menus where reasonable however could of done with a children's dessert menu.

This place is a classic old Cambridgeshire village pub. Thatched, different areas up and down steps inside. It's not pretending to be anything other than a friendly local pub with decent food. 5 of us ate here; staff were very attentive, choice of food was good. Our starters ranged from crispy lamb Asian salad, to goats cheese in a pecan... More

Stopped in on a Friday night for dinner. Seated in a lovely spot, waitress and staff were friendly and helpful recommending dishes and telling us the specials. We had 3 courses, green eggs and ham and the goats cheese to start, the duck and rabbit specials for main followed by the brownie and apple delight for dessert. All courses were... More

Okay we hadn't booked! but there was plenty of space as it was Wednesday lunchtime. My meal was fine but wife's was well undercooked...so how can you serve fish and chips uncooked? We did point out to the waitress and to be fair she asked if we wanted it reheated!!!

I visited with my mum for Mother's Day after reading great reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately - we were left somewhat disheartened by the quality and quantity of the food we chose from the set Mother's Day menu. We both had the pate and sweet/sour onion starter, followed by the roast beef dinner. We were both surprised to see that the... More
