Superb meal

We went with some friends for Sunday lunch and whilst the prices here are normally a bit higher than we would pay,the old saying of 'you get what you pay for' was certainly true on this occasion. We had dinner here very recently. The food was great, a little slow but the the staff were very attentive. Little pricey considering we had dinner the following night in Cambridge which was cheaper and just as good. Worth a visit.

Have eaten at this country pub quite a few times during the week for lunch and have always been quite pleased. Today we went for Sunday lunch and I couldn't be more disappointed, although not very busy it took over half an hour for our food to arrive, a very staked plate of food, beef, yorkshire pudding , roast pots,... Just a short review but here goes. We (my wife and I) stayed in Coton at a B&B and one evening took a drive towards Toft. On the way we saw the Blue Lion and decided to go for an evening meal. The exterior is very quaint and rural and when entering the interior matches with wooden beams extended throughout... More

A really lovely country pub in a rather out-of-the way location but definitely worth a visit. We were a party of 8 adults. The main part of the pub is typically snug with low ceilings, plenty of beams and brass. We were seated in a spacious adjoining room with shaded glass ceiling which was nice and bright but not glaring.... More

I went there with my friends last month and we all had different food so that we could taste each other's meals but in all honesty we were not overly impressed and found the price quite expensive for the quality of food we got. We found the food a bit plain and were really disappointed with the crumble which was... More

Enjoyed a last minute dinner here with a friend. Extremely friendly service and awesome fish and chips! As we live locally I would certainly recommend to friends

This is our go to country pub when looking for a relaxing meal with family and friends. The food is great and the service is excellent. We would recommend the Mac and cheese burger!

A return trip to this great pub / restaurant. We went as a family get together with 3 generations. While I was parking the car a member of the waiting staff assisted my 95 year old gran to her table which was a very nice touch. The restaurant was very busy but this did not stop the waiting staff from... More

Situated in a lovely village with lots of outside seating (for sunny days) and lots of room inside (for less sunny days). I think the menu is varied and a cut above 'pub grub'. I also didn't think it was expensive. Its not cheap, but not pricey. Service is good and friendly. I had the Corn Beef Hash. A really... More
