Central Cambridge Delight!

I was going to title this ‘Don’t go to The Bedouin! (Unless you’re very hungry!)’ but I didn’t want to put people off! Go to The Bedouin! It’s great! The extraordinary décor makes it feel like you’re feasting in a Bedouin tent around a Tuareg campfire (no Mister Bean present (if you remember the... read more

I have been visiting restaurants in Cambridge for many years and had many good meals, however on Saturday 16th May I had what is probably the best yet. My wife and I arrived at Bedouin without a reservation, however we were found a table and we were then treated to a tremendous experience. The staff were very friendly without being... More

4 of us (a family) visited this restaurant for dinner today; the staff is very friendly, polite and nice. The food portions are very good and filling up. It is a great value for money. The taste of the starters, main course and dessert is amazing. It is the best restaurant I've been to in Cambridge.

The food is so authentic that for a few hours you can pretend to be on holiday in an exotic location. All the food was amazing but a special mention has to go to the starter with a selection of dips and pastries, and the Turkish coffee ice cream. We parked in the road around the corner ( Barnaby street)... More

Visited on a Saturday evening. Recommend you book as some people turning up without a booking were unlucky. The food at Bedouin is fantastic. This was my second visit and I am sure I will be going again and again. There are options for meat eaters, fish eaters and vegetarians. All the food was tasty. The chips are amazing. A... More

For something different to the usual restaurants you will find it hard to beat this. The food was excellent as was the Algerian wine. Great atmosphere and very good service. You need to enjoy African food which is spicy but if you are a little adventurous then make the time to visit. A little out of the centre but not... More

The atmosphere is very nice. The theme is very noticeable. Feeling like in a tent. Food little bit expensive as on average will cost you around £12, but nice. I really liked that the water was served in clay glasses. Toilets nice and clean. Even in the same theme. Couscous was little bit to sweet. I would recommend coming here

The restuarant is nice decorated as a bedouin tent, the lighting is really low. The food was I think Algerian and was average. The service is good, the prices were on the high side. Remember the restuarant only takes cash, so make sure you have enough of it. Good for one visit, wouldn't go back again.

Came here with a party of 10 or so friends one evening. Booking is advised as people were being turned away from the door. Service was very friendly all evening and by all members of staff. Inside, the atmosphere is warming, with drapes and colours suggesting the sunshine of Northern Africa. It is dimly lit, only by candles and low-burning... More

Hi Shinnynugget, We are pleased that you enjoyed your meal here the other night regardless of your "over priced, tasteless aubergine dish". A few points that I would like to clear up; We chose to leave out any pastry or ingredients containing wheat in order to keep it a gluten-free dish. The menu does not state that the goats cheese...
