This a great place for tourists to visit of a spot of tea and cake or a great cup of coffee. It is more of a destination than a restaurant, somewhere to be experienced. The place is in a renovated church and the way they have designed it is genius. But, predictably it is not all good. The prices are... More

Visited family in Cambridge for four days and we had lunch here twice! Service is brilliant, food is delicious and there is a wide variety! Also the homemade lemonade is beautiful! Staff are very friendly.

Went here on a Saturday morning with around 8 people for breakfast. I think might expectations were too high as in fact it turns out to be just an okay cafe. Just be aware if you order anything with bread the slices are way too thick and over take everything with them.

Coffee unexpectedly good, but food a real let down. Ordered a bacon sandwich - bacon way over-cooked and bread stale and inedible. French toast not much better - stale thick wedge that had cursory coating of egg. Shame, nice location and service

Really beautiful and historic venue in the heart of Cambridge. It really is a delightful place, which still has a spiritual atmosphere. It's an unusual building where the centre chapel or 'chancel' is still in use as a place of woship but the outer area has been I suppose desanctified in some way for use as a cafe. The food... More

Stopped by late in the afternoon for a cup of tea, were tempted by the scones on the counter and glad we were. They tasted fresh and were nice and moist. Along with portions of clotted cream and raspberry jam and strong tea they made an excellent afternoon tea. If the weather is nice you can sit outside and really... More

I mean that in a positive way, the gluten free choice in Cambridge is limited, this place and a limited number if others do. Thank you

What a lovely place to eat. Varied and extremely tasty menu, I am a vegetarian and have lots to choose from. The staff are always smiling and eager to help. Portion sizes are huge and can easily be shared by two. Definitely recommend.

Loved Bill Sewells Place Below in Cheapside years ago - one of best cafes ever and still use the Place Below cook book. So standard of food at Michaelhouse v disappointing. Harsh flat white and Luke warm wodges of eggy bread. And kitchen staff conversation about how English people call pantyhose 'tights' clearly audible across the cafe. And £6:40 for... More
