I have to say the food and service when eating at the Doubletree was the worst I've known in years probably the worst ever in this Country! It really was awful, myself and my husband enjoyed a gorgeous day in the sunshine having a champagne punt and thought we would finnish it off with some lunch here, I was drawn... More

Two of us arrived at five past one for lunch and decided to have afternoon tea instead as it was served from 1 pm and we thought it would be nice and fresh. Sadly, we were pretty disappointed by the whole experience from the fierce-to-the-point-of-scary waitress to the inedible scone (microwaved to rock-hardness, and impossible even to cut, let alone... Our family get-together was spoilt by extremely disappointing food and a waitress who spoke no English and could not understand our order. Foolishly, we assumed that this Marco Pierre White eatery would be superior - how wrong we were! The burger bun was cheap and nasty; the burger below average; the pizza base thick and soggy; olives did not arrive. ... More

Had a lovely lunch celebrating my mothers 86th birthday. The staff were attentive, helpful, the setting is wonderful. 17 of us celebrated and we had a lovely afternoon. We even enjoyed the food, it was great and I would like to thank the staff for helping to make my mum's birthday special.

ate at the restaurant , Sunday lunch, table for nine, two vegetarians and one sad and pathetic risotto dish on offer. asked the chef on duty and told that that was it!....rather pathetic!.....rather rude chefs......honestly in this day and age is that the best that Hilton hotels can do??? the meat on offer was just about ok...but dried up potatoes... My party booked a day at the spa here and enjoyed a whole morning of swimming, relaxing in the steam room and sauna, followed by a laze in the jacuzzi. The water in the pool at Doubletree was delightfully warm and the atrium over the pool and wide windows gave lovely views out at the sky and over the river..... More

Very disappointing lunch experience. The setting is beautiful looking out towards the river over the garden. However the food was poor overall. The starters were acceptable but the mains were poor quality. Both sirloin steaks were tough and did not taste chargrilled as advertised. One was badly cooked with areas that were almost raw. We were offered French mustard but... More

I booked this restaurant for afternoon tea for 9 people, to celebrate a friends birthday. When the food came there were only enough sandwiches for 8 people. No one had bothered to ask us whether there were any vegetarians in the party, there were three but only enough choice for two. The sandwiches were very dry, as if they had... More

Probably not fair as we only had breakfast which was a buffet. At 9am the hot food looked tired and unappetising. 5 minute wait for a fried egg, and only smoked bacon, Other areas of the buffet were fine and the staff however were excellent - we had a nice river view and service was brilliant. If having breakfast -... More
