Wonderful location

This place has been here for ages and we remebered it from when we lived in Cambridge many years ago, so we decided to have a sit down and a light snack and drink, after looking around the colleges, before returning to our hotel. I don't think that I have ever been compelled to write a review whilst I am still in the restaurant before. The restaurant is not busy. The wait times are long. The portions are tiny. The service is either disinterested or away with the fairies. The food tastes ok.

A very convenient and well located place to stumble into for breakfast - but you will regret your reckless lack of forethought and pre-planning. If this was a school it would be one of Tony Blair's bog standard comprehensives. It is completely uninspired and complacent, doing just enough to call itself a restaurant. In desperate need of a revamp. Why... More

The location is stunning right across from Kings college! However the food leaves a lot to desire!!! From cold toast to dry microwaved scrambled eggs... When we asked for the eggs to be soft - they don't do what the customer requested!!! The sausages were just re heated sausages ... Probably from yesterday. will not be returning

Had a great little lunch here the service was really good considering it was graduation week and it was extremely busy. The food was well presented and tasty. The atmosphere here is great, and the staff friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Cambridge good value for money.

Before attending the Evensong service at King's College Chapel, a few friends and I stopped in for tea. The scones, clotted cream and jam were delicious and the tea piping hot. We had a great visit together and the service was good. A little crowded in the restaurant, but we still had an enjoyable time.

Took my 18 year old son to the Copper Kettle as I used to eat at this restaurant when I was a student. It has gone trough a number of iterations but is still an excellent location for lunch or a coffee snack in Cambridge. As traditional Cambridge as it gets and highly recommended. They still serve baked potato with... More

One of the few places serving a late breakfast this wasn't too bad. The breakfast came quickly and nice and hot. Not overpriced, friendly staff and a good location.

Loved this restaurant. I visited with a group of students when I was on a trip for university learning about British Literature. We went to Cambridge for the day and stopped here for lunch. The food was good and the atmosphere was really nice. We sat in the back under one of the tables with the cool hanging colored lamps.

Stopped here for lunch and the food was fab ! We all had various combinations of baguettes and they were delicious as were the pastries we had afterwards!!! Seated 5 of us very quickly at a busy time and service was good.
