I've been coming to this pub since moving to Cambridge 6 years ago. It's décor is old pub style and it has a lot of history, from the drinking den of RAF pilots to the favourite haunt of DNA discoverers Watson & Crick. The place is always packed and the food, whilst standard pub fare, is decent and portions generous.... More

The prices were a little bit high and the stuff... More

Took some work colleagues in for lunch. The atmosphere is good and it's a firm favourite in the city centre and has been for decades, but the food - this is really poor.

Busy central pub, food very disappointing, toilets need some renovation, go there mainly for drinks.

Good beer, lots of history. Go to the bar at the back to look at the WW2 graffiti on the ceiling. pretty outside eating area . Visit the pre reformation St Ben'ets church opposite which has a stunning sculpture and Saxon tower

The process of pre-booking at such a high-season, selecting the meals and special dietary needs, and communicating with them via email and phone was very smooth. On the day, the lady and gentleman that served us were extremely kind, helpful, and professional. They attended... More

The pub is very old and quaint. The pub menu offers a great choice of dishes and the food was lovely.

Even if it's a bit of a tourist draw, it's a great pub, plenty of choice of good beers, all 6 of us enjoyed the food and the pre-Christmas atmosphere was warm and friendly. Worth going back to.
