My colleagues and I visited the place for dinner. All the tables seemed full, so we had to take a spot on the terrace (which was also a smoking zone) Since none of us smoked, we had to do some second-hand smoking, but that wasn't so bad. Anyways, we went back in to order food, and order beer. The food... More

Twelve of us decided to eat (and drink!) here before going on to an event at the Corn Exchange which is only two minutes away. It is an extremely old pub, first opened around 1667. It has a long standing association with the RAF since World War Two. During that time it was a popular venue with the pilots based... More

I do like this pub. The ambience is typically warm and inviting making it the perfect place to meet for a drink with friends. The pub itself is steeped in history and its location opposite St. Bene't's church, the oldest standing building in Cambridge, is ideal for the city centre. It's a shame then that, despite booking five days in... More

I had to meet friends in a pub in Cambridge. They chose the Eagle. My heart sank. Very good drinks (though no Mild Ale) - excellent pub food (best chips in England for years). Friendly, good service and reasonable prices. And - in a pub which is inundated with tourists - to be able to keep a table for six... More

I had heard about this pub and its affiliation to the RAF during WWII and Omer suggested we experience whilst strolling and exploring Cambridge on a cold November noon. We went in. It was warm, clean, pictures on the wall described the connection with the pub's past. We ordered fish and chips for all, cider and beer. These all came... More

A visit to Cambridge is incomplete without stopping by The Eagle pub. Good beers, great food (try the lamb shank!). Usually super-busy but great atmosphere!

One of the best pubs that I've been, with great atmosphere, cosy for winter days and with a nice open-air space to enjoy the summer breeze eating their famous fish and chips or simply drinking a beer or a cider!

This is a fabulous place to eat. It was very busy when we arrived but despite this we (two people)were seated at a table for 6 and it was suggested that if some other guys needed a table we could share, no worries there. We ordered our food, lamb shanks and scampi and tucked in. The food was lovely and lo... More
