Avoid the Hunter's chicken. Dry and obviously reheated a number of times. Too many tables squeezes into the front bar but the RAF bar and the courtyard looked to have more space and more atmosphere. Good DNA pud.

My guest was served a dish of ravioli, no sauce, no cheese, just boiled ravioli and a few bits of salad with no dressing. An insult. This is a famous pub attracting large numbers of tourists - a pity they can't do better food

One of the best meals I'd ever had. Most enormous burger, topped with onion rings as well as a healthy portion of french fries (chips!). The special beer was so good as well. It is in this pub that the first people who discovered DNA went in and announced it and now there are a lot of special DNA jokes... More

The eagle pub is in the heart of Cambridge, just off the river, down a quaint street. Me and my friend had been walking around all day and were in need of a drink and lunch. The pub inside was quite enjoyable and old fashioned with a good atmosphere. The staff behind the bar were friendly and the experience was... More

We visited here to celebrate my daughters birthday. Pub is very busy mainly with tourists. We arrived at lunch time. Sat outside in the courtyard. I had fish n chips and my wife and daughter had the chicken with white wine sauce. All arrived well presented and hot. My fish was lovely and both chickens breasts were nice and tender.... More

I came to the Eagle three times in a 10 day trip. The atmosphere (lively, mixed bag of students, tourists and locals) made for a fun place to relax with a drink after a long work day. I had my first Pimm's here, and they did it beautifully. Also came mid-afternoon for a Sunday lunch of their fish and chips,... More

We ordered a simple lunch of mature cheddar sandwich and chips to share. The Sandwich was of low quality toasted supermarket bread, and the cheese probably from the same supermarket, however the apricot chutney did come with added extras....a dead fly... We had been asked if we required any accompaniments with our food when served, too which we requested vinegar... More

For a science and/or WW2 History Buff this pub is a must. Less than 10 paces from the old Cavendish Science Lab this is truly a historic Cambridge Landmark, Yes a plaque on the wall signifies that this is the pub that Crick announced to Watson that by establishing the chemical geometry of the inverted double helix that they had...
