Historical Pint

Famed for being the haunt of the DNA guys, it's a bit of a tourist trap, but having said that we had a good pint and a BLT for a quick lunch.

This really is a 'must visit' spot in Cambridge. The building is quaint and interesting and they've added lots of seating which is a good thing since it's popular and can be busy.

Nice historic pub famous for the DNA inventor, nice fish and chips and onion rings, comfortable place to chat with friends. Will come again next I come to Cambridge.

This restaurant is very authentic, in terms of its genuine British food, and just great bear! Very very good service and excellent Bangers and mash! There is a wide variety of good eating, and a very friendly atmosphere – including an outside eating area.

Everything you've every thought of in a traditional English Pub is here. Everything. The food is very good, thou not outstanding. But the selection of beers is absoutely great. At The Eagle, please try their DNA on draft. It is excellent. You really must sit for a time, at least, in the RAF Room and soak up the nostalgia and... More

This is an ancient pub with a large courtyard. It serves a very broad selection of beers and you can eat there, but we went down the road to Cau. The bar staff were friendly as indeed were the patrons sitting out enjoying a summer's night. We soon got into company . Love this place.

Dropped by for a early evening pint and a spot of dinner. Great selection of beers , so a thumbs up. Had the pie and mash which was very good along with quick and good service. Well worth a visit if you are in Cambridge

Greene King is one of my least favourite pub chains, but everywhere was busy on this bright, warm August Monday, so we went in - open-eyed - to find an interesting, but bustling bar room with RAF and USAF memorabilia everywhere. Too bad the ceiling covered with airmen's graffiti was heavily discoloured - I suppose by nicotine. Anyway, the limited... More

Whether you're going there to have a beer or a proper English breakfast you won't be disappointed. They have a very nice selection of British and foreign beers and the bartenders are always very nice and helpful. Their English breakfast (both regular and vegetarian) is very very good. Also, the interior is quite fascinating and rustic. You should definitely consider... More

A lovely pub lunch where DNA history was made was what we expected. What we did not expect was one of the locals being kind enough to point out the ceiling in the RAF room where RAF soldiers used their lighters to leave their respective marks on the ceiling. Thank you kind sir for pointing out this bit of history... More
