A rest required!

Needed somewhere to sit and eat for nearly an hour. Fell upon here by accident. Wonderful varied menu, and lovely staff. Would visit again if in area.

If you've not had dinner and have to pick people up from the train station, this place which is within walking distance is a pretty decent choice for a meal if you plan well. They are part of a mini-conglomerate of eateries in the same area (they also have a steak house and a sausage stall) and serve French-styled cuisine.... More

My wife and I had eaten here (the evening restaurant) a few times, sometimes with friends. You can expect reasonably good food but overpriced drinks and wines. On the last occasion however, we tried a wine and asked for it to be changed. Management refused (they also refused to taste it). We ended up walking out before our final course... More

We hd a three course valentine set menu dinner with another couple who had booked this restaurant. Although it may not look it from the bright yellow decor, the food is awesome! We had a great value dinner that was served by friendly staff and good quality, fresh and tasty! Good for a quick bite or something a bit more... More

The service was pretty good considering it was a very busy night. The food was excellent. Drinks a bit pricey but a three course meal for two with wine and beer for under £60 was, I thought, really good value. Well worth a visit. We'll definitely be going back.

First class food. Great service. Just like being in a little French restaurant. Close to the Botanical garden (station side) ideal for a drink or full meal. Good prices too

Had an impromptu dinner here with friends. It was okay overall but nothing spectacular. Service was fine but the menu was a bit challenging to figure out. As such it ended up costing us more that we expected. We were also disappointed by the wine selection.

Overpriced drinks, please can someone from the establishment enlighten me on why it costs 90p for a can of fizzy drink to take out, yet you charge £1.95 for same item if you are sat eating a meal?

Hi, We increase the prices of stay in drinks to cover our costs e.g. staff, bills, rent among other things, so we hope you can understand this. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit to Le Gros Franck. Best wishes, More

We were only in Cambridge to watch our son perform at the club a few doors away so literally stumbled upon Le Gros Franck. Although there was only one waitress, her timing was spot on to the point where we felt neither rushed or neglected. The small menu means that the food is freshly cooked and the presentation and quality... More

Had a nice quick breakfast here. Wide selection of baguette and pastry, as well as English breakfast with tea and coffee selections.
