We visited Beefeater around the Christmas period and expected it to be packed, it wasn't overly full so we had plenty of space to put our car seat next to the table. My son had his first ever meal from a menu here and absolutely loved it, delving into the pretty good looking piece of chicken and peas. When desert... More

I visited the Beefeater in Cambridge for a Family Christmas meal on 12th December 2014, there was a group of 9 and they were very helpful & accommodating for my nan who needs to use a wheel chair. The staff are so friendly & went out their way to make sure everything is ok & that you're happy with your... More

Went for evening meal whilst in the area had previously eaten at a beefeater which was very good but this one failed to deliver, the chips were undercooked, my daughters veggie burger was on a warped wooden platter which wobbled and my chair was wobbly, rather a let down.

Went for a meal with my family on a Friday evening, took a long time for our order to be taken and over an hour for our starters to arrive. The main course was horrible, it was very dry from sitting under the hot lamps waiting to be brought to our table. In addition, they offer bottomless coke but staff... More

Five of us met for an ex-colleagues lunch here - we happened to book for the first day of the Christmas season and four of us enjoyed a lovely lunch of pate to start and brie and mushroom wellington with fresh vegetables as mains. All of the food was lovely - very tasty and well presented which must have been... More

we went to the travellers rest, Huntington road, Cambridge for lunch on Friday, the food and service was very good, our server was really friendly and helpful, we were even welcomed by the manager with a friendly bit of banter. The food was of a good standard, I must say I couldn't fault it and I am quite critical when... More

Visited for an early evening meal with a group of friends and ordered from the daytime value menu as ordering before 6.30pm. The food was very good, the service excellent and at £12 a head for two courses and drinks, was pretty unbeatable! Recommended!

Lots of noisy kids out of control. Food was disappointing. Staff were attentive and rushed off their feet.

We had a Friday evening meal here and being seated before 6.30pm made us eligible for the Daytime Value Menu. In the1970s / 1980s a family treat was a celebratory meal at a Berni Inn, a Harvester or a Beefeater. This brought back the memories. Even the inside was traditional with lots of beam finishing and some of the tables... More

After a hectic day for wife and I, we decided to eat out and thought we'd try the Beefeater. It's slightly out of the way, and is in a building with a bit of character on multiple levels, with a decent sized free car park (a problem for some restaurants in Cambridge). We went mid week and didn't book, there... More
