Excellent food! Service not so much!

Had an impromptu visit to the Bridge! Gorgeous pub and gorgeous food! Our waiter let the pub down sadly! Was not aware of the Thursday night steak special clearly written on the specials board as you enter the establishment, he could not tell us what it came with! We ordered a bottle of wine and a... read more

This has got to be one of my favourite places for lunch around Cambridge. Obviously the setting and building is good but also the relaxed and friendly staff make this better than most. The food is good value and perfectly acceptable

I come here quite alot as the Sunday roasts are amazing. However, when I have visited on a weekday and in particular during lunch, I've found the service very slow and the food not up to the Sunday dinner standards. There's some very nice staff too but also some that can come across a little rude. Regardless, I love the... More

Visited with a party of 6 including an infant. Waitress was very friendly taking time to talk to my son and fetching a high chair immediately. We ordered from the lunch menu which was well priced and portion size was ample for lunch time. I opted for the chicken burger which came with chips. The chips were by far the... More

I am a regular visitor to this pub and the recent refurb makes the place feels fresh welcoming and cosy. The staff although sometimes are stretched and there can be a wait they all work hard and are always polite James deserves a special mentions as he is always a smiling and works hard he should be manager!

Called in for lunch on 11 Apr 15 ordered a pint of Bitter and a elderflower soft drink for my wife which came to £6.08! and initially the staff served apple juice not elderflower which was what was ordered. I asked for breakdown and the drinks were £3.40 for the beer and £2.68 for the elderflower. If I had not... More

Visited the Bridge with a little trepidation on Monday 6th April for a family lunch, having had both good and bad experiences in the past and avoided it for a while. We were drawn back by adverts following the refurbishment. There were 6 of us. Food and service were excellent; a steak was ordered rare and arrived overdone and this... More

Three of us arrived at about seven in the evening for a family gathering. We have been several times before though not for a while and decided this was the place on a nice evening. We had to ask at the bar for someone to show us a table and, when we did, we were left there for quite a... More

We ate here on Easter Sunday. The service and location was to the usual high Chef and Brewer standard, the restaurant having been recently refurbished. The real ale had a weaker flavour than I am used to, it was fresh though. For a Sunday, it was very quiet at 5 to 6pm while we were there, so the food came... More
