This is part of a chain which tries to give a standard French experience. It's not bad but does not meet French standards of service (too slow!) or usually of quality (soggy chips with the steak). If it smartened up it could be good.

Food is fine, service is fine - nothing fancy. A bit overpriced for what you get. Don't order anything 'complicated' or you will be disappointed.

Like all chains, Chez Gerard started well and then went downhill.Now it's gone, unmourned, and is called something like wildwood.

Pretty overpriced for some pretty dull food. The wine list was good, but again, a little too pricey. A place for show-offs, but not one for real foodies.
