Good place to eat before going to the theatre

We ate at this restaurant and were once again very impressed with the service and food quality. We ate midweek and booked the table for 17.15 and it was readily available. The waiting staff were all very quick in attending to our food and drinks and in spite of it becoming quite busy later on they... read more

If choose to have your dinner at an Ask restaurant, you know what you're going to get, and thus one is no different. The building is actually surprises spacious, light, and airy - doesn't look like that from outside, but actually its OK. Service was fine, food typical Ask, prices average. A safe if rather boring bet.

Family meal after a theatre ... food was not great ( sticking strands of tagliatelle) but the wine was OK and the kids were happy. Not a lot of atmosphere . Don't think I would use this chain of restaurants again.

Starter was classed as spicy. It had so many chillies in it you could not taste the mussles. Air con was on full that the decorations were moving. It was very cold

I visited Ask with my neighbour at the end of December. I have only eaten in an Ask restaurant once before and I remembered it for the freshness of the ingredients on the Bruschetta. We had two of the new pizzas (one with steak and another with chicken and chilli) and again, I was very impressed by the quality of... More

I have often visited this particular Ask Italian and found it to be just what you would expect from a popular chain restaurant. Recently I visited with a group of friends for a pre-Christmas get together. We booked in advance and met at the restaurant. I arrived first and was greeted warmly and courteously by the waiter who found me... More

We visited for a Christmas meal for old work friends. Although we had booked the table wasn't ready when I arrived. It wasn't exceptionally busy but the service was slow. One of the party had to ask twice where her drink was. The food was ok they met my needs but some of the others looked as if it had... More

I booked a table for nine for our work's Christmas lunch. We were very limited for time which I let the restaurant know at the time of booking. They were very accommodating and took our orders beforehand. The timing was perfect, the service excellent and the food very good. A lovely little restaurant.

Large dining area, very quiet when we were there at lunch time on a Saturday. Good was ok but not brilliant and the atmosphere was lacking. I would not go back again.
