Just enjoyed my birthday dinner at the lovely Old Queens Head. Have been going here now for over 8 years and friends and family rave about this wonderful pub. The staff are warm friendly and efficient...especially Tina who manages it and Connor. The pub itself has a warm country pub atmosphere and the beer garden is a delight. This is... More

Please don't waste your money here. We used to visit regularly a few years ago and it was lovely. I went recently and had a terrible experience. The food was overpriced and tasteless. I had the smoked trout with a panzanella salad with crab and it was awful - the salad was just some stale bread, chopped up little gem... More

A super and very popular pub to enjoy brunch with friends and family. All 11 of us enjoyed a drink outside in the sunshine before going up to the restaurant for a relaxing brunch which stretched over into the lunch period, so we also all had a pudding. The full English Breakfast was very good, with a very tasty sausage,... More

First time here following a recommendation from a friend. We were greeted warmly and staff in general are pleasant & friendly. Our starters looked mass produced, my friend had the prawns which arrived in a basic presentation style, and my squid/chorizo looked like catering mass produced generic produce. Both tasted ok, but not a "gastro" experience. My main course of... More

We were delighted with our meal at The Old Queens Head last night - the menu was imaginative and creative, the atmosphere was warm and cosy, and the service was friendly and very prompt. The prices seemed reasonable, and I love places that don't automatically add on a service charge at the end of the evening!

We visited The Old Queens Head for lunch on Mothers Day with my son, his wife and our granddaughter. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The starters were lovely, as were the desserts. However, the main course was extremely disappointing. My roast lamb was gristle and very fatty. The vegetables were not as hot as... More
