This restaurant has been highly recommended by friends to us so we finally got round to going booking and went last night. We had a fantastic meal (the Steak Special plus sides) and the service was so friendly. There is a wide range of good wines and beers to choose from. We were served by Natalia who made us feel... What a wonderful place... I have arranged two separate evening events, on both occasions for more than 20 people, and they were both huge successes with my friends and family. The range of meats available, both in the sausages and as steaks is impressive and this amount of choice meant pre selecting our food was a necessity and allowed service... More

We booked a table for a group of sixteen and pre-ordered our starters and mains. The staff were great and the drinks order arrived in good time as the group sat down. The starters were just the right size to give you a good taste but not so big to fill you up. Our table had a good mix of... More

On entry to the pub (20 mins early for our booking) we were met by a chap that was quite insistent that we sat strait at our table- after saying a couple of times we would like a drink at the bar he accepted! Kim was very funny and accommodating! The beer menu is the biggest and best I've ever... More

Horrific night at the sausage tree... Red wine spilt all over my boyfriends white shirt... Didn't even bring a cloth to clean it. Main courses took 1.5 hours & one was forgotten. It took 15 minutes before they realised & another 15 minutes to bring it. By this point everyone had finished... Didn't ask if we wanted dessert. When requested... More

First visit after hearing very good reports from many sources. Decided to try sausages as wanted "lighter" lunch, and went for the exotic choice. I had one venison and one drunken duck, my wife had pheasant and one springbok, washed down with a rebellion and a rose respectively. Together with an excellent mash, onions, gravy and (Heinz) baked beans, these... More

Went with a friend. Had camel steak. Pretty tasty. Friend had lamb and mint sausages. Good atmosphere nice staff. A bit pricey but worth it if you like a bit of exotica. The menu has to be seen to be believed.

Not sure if there's any vegetarian options, because I didn't look. This is a meat-eaters paradise, no mistake. Great selection of traditional and "exotic" meats in either steak or sausage form. Steaks are cooked yourself on a hot rock which is great for a longer and more social dining session. I have tried a variety of exotic meats, and some... More

We have been to the Sausage Tree a few times now and it is a favourite of my 3 grown-up children and partners especially my future son-in-law who loves his sausages and is in sausage heaven there. The food is good and good value and the service is also very good. They also have a very good selection of beers... More
