My friend and I visited this lovely restaurant for a celebratory meal and were wowed by both the food and service. Their seasonal menu had so many tempting options it was very difficult to choose just one, but I eventually opted for the stuffed aubergine main which was amazingly flavoursome and much more substantial and filling than expected. We also... More

We had a lovely meal here yesterday. The menu offers something for all tastes without being extensive and I struggled to choose as it all sounded so delicious. The starter of sweet potato fritters was really tasty and the main courses were delicious too. The puddings were a little disappointing compared to the calibre of the previous courses if I'm... Had a lovely meal with a group. Really well presented tasty vegetarian food, very full afterwards! Great selection of drinks too and really friendly service. Goats cheese and beetroot was really lovely!

Myself and my OH are not vegetarians - but passed here a few weeks back and decided to come for dinner. I'm very glad we did. Amazing value and quality and I didn't miss the meat! 3 courses each, bottle of wine, 2 bottles of beer - £78, which I thought was great. I will be coming back - with... More

I'm a meat eater who occasionally tries to eat more vegetarian dishes, the issue being that many restaurants tend to serve the same thing. So what better place to go to that a dedicated restaurant. Packed with a wonderful array of choices and friendly staff, Maitreya is a must visit.

Brought my veggie boyfriend here for our year anniversary last night. He always moans that veggie options at restaurants are very limited so I used trip advisor to source a good vegetarian place so he could have a good choice of meal options. The reviews I read were spot on and he was really impressed! Staff were absolutely lovely and... More

Whether you're vegetarian or not, you'll love the food here. The menu was well thought out and imaginative- I had a fennel confit on broad beans, and cherry samosas with ginger ice cream for dessert. The stand out dish was the breaded egg- crispy breadcrumbs on an egg with a gooey yolk. Not the cheapest place to eat but absolutely... More

Very impressive veggie restaurant. Local ingredients...cooked well! I took my team here (veggie and meat eaters). After the meal...all were pleased! A real hidden gem in Bristol

I've spent the last few months trying out some of Bristols restaurants. So far, I've had some good meals, some ok. The meal I ate on Saturday just past at Maitreya Social was excellent - and the first so far that's prompted me to return to trip advisor and review. My asparagus and calcot starter was a delight, the malfatti... More
