We are a family run authentic moroccan bistro on the wells road between totter down and knowle. Established 10 years ago we operate on a B.Y.O basis allowing the customer to bring the tipple of their choice. We use traditional moroccan recipes from tagines to meshwi and relax in the moroccan bedouin seating or the more traditional bistro seating. We can cater for large groups and belly dancing can be arranged. So come and enjoy a taste of morocco in Bristol. Lovely food, friendly staff, BYO restaurant

This is my favourite restaurant in Bristol. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff are so friendly. There's always a good atmosphere. It's a BYO restaurant, so the bill is always a pleasant surprise. I've eaten here several times and always leave full and happy. I've been with... read more

Visited here for a friends birthday. The venue and decor is fantastic but our evening was ruined as there was a breakdown in communication with our large pre-order so only half our orders were there. The food was okay and the chefs cooked more food so we all ate but unfortunately it was all staggered. The owners were very defensive... More

This was a first time visit motivated by having bought a Groupon Voucher, and we were not disappointed. From the moment hostess Bridget greeted us we felt welcomed and at ease. The ambience is distinctive, authentically Moroccan in style and the lighting enhances the atmosphere. We immensely enjoyed both our falafel and stuffed vine-leaf starters, and our main courses, for... More

Went on my second ever visit this week taking advantage of a groupon offer. Tried to make a last minute booking last week but they restrict the number of groupon bookings, a shame because when we walked by to visit another local eatery that night it was very quiet. Warm welcome from the host, though unfortunately the heating had not... More

I had not been Assilah for a little while so I decided to show my face to make sure all was in order and it was still as good as my last visit 12 months ago. We managed to get a Groupon for this which proved amazing value for money, it is great value for money with out a voucher.... More

We went on a group on voucher and found this to be a really lovely place . We liked the smallish menu and the cosy atmosphere. The service could not be faulted and the food was very good and plenty of it .If you have long legs the low tables could be a bit tricky but there are alternatives.Good value... More

We went to Assilah on a groupon voucher this week. The food and choice was excellent for the price and the atmosphere and service was also very good. The added bonus of being able to take your own wine made this a very reasonable evening! Having said that, we plan to go again whether or not on a voucher as... More

This restaurant is beautifully decorated in the morrocan/bedowin style and very atmospheric. The food was magnificent, tasted lovely and the portion sizes were great. You can bring your own wine/drinks which is really nice. The lady running Assilah is very welcoming, leaving the whole restaurant with a resounding 10/10
