We are a family run authentic moroccan bistro on the wells road between totter down and knowle. Established 10 years ago we operate on a B.Y.O basis allowing the customer to bring the tipple of their choice. We use traditional moroccan recipes from tagines to meshwi and relax in the moroccan bedouin seating or the more traditional bistro seating. We can cater for large groups and belly dancing can be arranged. So come and enjoy a taste of morocco in Bristol. AS WITH ALL TRADITIONAL MOROCCAN RECIPES TAGINES DO TAKE A WHILE TO COOK SO WE WOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED FAST FOOD

A true gem!

Came for a friend's hen night meal in Jan and our hen couldn't have picked a better place for us. It had it all - the food, decor, seating & atmosphere were all spot on. It had a relaxed and happy vibe and all the staff (and other customers too!) were so friendly and accommodating. It's not... read more

14 of us visited Assilah Bistro on Saturday 30th January 2016 for my Hen Do. What a most amazing find, I chose this place because I love Morocco and its food, so after reading the reviews, I booked and was not disappointed! Bridget and her team could not do enough for us, even when we turned up 30 minutes early... More

We came to Assilah at the weekend and it was fantastic! Wonderful food, friendly atmosphere, amazing staff who bent over backwards to make sure we were well taken care of. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat this isn't the place, but I'm glad of that! Assilah is somewhere to relax and enjoy the company you're with and... More

I went here on Saturday 30 Jan 2016. The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing. You feel you are eating in a Berber house with low tables and Moroccan wall hangings, and loads of cushions. The service was excellent starting with a warm welcome when we turned up early, and finishing with the restaurant booking taxis for our party to... More

We will certainly be returning here again. The Moroccan decor really adds to the experience. The welcome was very friendly and the service excellent. The food was brilliant. A wonderful find in Bristol. Thank you. Alice and Bernard

What an experience! The food was just delicious, we had olives (marinated in secret blend of spices ♡ could just eat these all day – sooooo good) and falafel with hummus again really authentic and tasty. Followed by Lamb Tagine’s the fruity one is rich and decadent whilst the lemon and artichoke one is lighter and simply stunning. Freshly cooked... More

This was my first visit here and I loved it. I have family in Bristol and this place was recommended. The BYO is great which means you can enjoy your drinks straightaway, while you peruse the menu. We ordered olives, then falafel before our mains so did not particularly notice a long wait for our main. When it did come... More

Was a bit reluctant to post this as all the other reviews are exceptionally good. So this will probably be ignored. The food is tasty enough and hot. The half a dozen times I've come here we've always waited around 50-60 minutes for the food to be served, last night was no different. The music could do with being changed... More
