The old stock exchange is a fantastic venue, worth a visit just for that reason. The vintage toilet in the gents is (genuinely) a must see. And on top of that the food is excellent, fresh, simply the best Indian I've found in Bristol.

Vegetarian Starter Selection - Hariyali bortha, Aloo chotpoti and Piazi bhaji, really tasty Chicken Bhuna - the best curry I've had in a long time! Lamb Rogan Josh Poppadum, Plain Naan & Pilau Rice Water & 1 Tiger For everything above the bill came to £28 (a 2-4-1 gourmet society card offer was used) which was definitely worth it for... More

We always visit Old India when in Bristol. It's a bit shabby chic that is a little grubby if you look too close but the food and welcome is simply great. Murgh Dum Hundy off the bone is simply gorgeous; if you've not had one, give it a whirl; you won't regret it! The toilets are interesting and look as... More

We arrived late without a reservation on a very busy Saturday and the lovely guys still found us a seat! Indeed we were the last ones in the restaurant by the time we had gotten through our sumptuous feast... The food was extremely well priced, the service was wonderful, attentive and just so, the evening was fantastic - thank you... More

What was once undoubtedly a grand setting for a dining hall is now looking extremely tired. The smell rising from the basement toilets did nothing to improve the ambience. Still, the service was attentive and polite and some of the meal was good (chicken tikka shashlick) where some was simply curry by numbers (chicken tikka dhansak) which was bland and... More

A friend of mine introduced me tot his place and it is a gem of a find in central Bristol. I have eaten here twice and cannot fault the food. Sometimes it takes a while to come once ordered but that's beacuse it is fresh. The service polite and overall I would take business people here or even my retired... More

Walking into this 'old Raj' venue gets you rather excited at first but then you quickly notice how tired it looks and the charm slips away. Service was incredibly slow (90 minutes for a main) and the staff were not friendly - in fact we got the impression that they didn't actually want us in the place especially after we... More

This place does great indian food. Probably the best I've had. It always tastes so good. The staff are very nice and helpful (the can be a little slow at times but it has always been very busy when I've been in). They've always happy to bag the left overs. (which I've finally developed the will power to generate) I... More
