Good food but average service

We had mixed feelings. While the food was good and the portions large (too large for us), lots of little faults in the service and a long wait made it hard to consider returning without an incentive. We were taking advantage of the 50% off January special. We had to wait 15 minutes before being... read more

The staff are extremely courteous and efficient The coffee is delicious and what makes the experience perfect is the beautiful building. Watch the world go by on Park Street and get really well looked after.

I booked a corporate ‘do’ on behalf of my office in February as I was recommended by my Sister as she had her office party over the Christmas period. I can safely say that from the first phone call to the exit after the event, all of the staff could not have done more for us. The guy that answered... More

I was taken to Goldbrick House yesterday for a 3 course Mothers Day meal. The service was lovely, friendly, not overbearing yet attentive. The food was delicious and cocktails were great. We hold Goldbrick House dear to our hearts because it was the venue for our wedding reception. Didn't disappoint. The most wonderful thing was the daffodil table decorations were... More

Met a friend for lunch Friday lunchtime upstairs restaurant was empty and when we originally approached the restaurant lady she looked hesitant to take us and begrudgingly said yes of course a table! I thought it might be because they were struggling to fit us in however the entire restaurant was empty! Food came very quickly and waitress then seemed... More

I can't comment on the food because we didn't end up eating here. We booked a table for two people at 9pm because that was the only time they had space. Fair enough it's obviously a popular place. I mentioned I had a Tastecard when booking the table and was told it wouldn't be accepted because they had already taken... More

My husband and I visited Bristol on a quick trip and were looking for something to eat. We like independent places rather than chain restaurants. We saw the front windows and the A board advertising dinner. On entering a very pleasant room and asking for a table we were directed upstairs. What a wonderful surprise we had. This place is... Following a recommendation from a friend who had thoroughly enjoyed a meal here with work colleagues we booked a table for 7 on Saturday evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday. On arrival we were given a table on the top floor and placed our order for drinks and food. Only 3 of us were having starters and when our guest... More
