Dishes were lacking imagination, they seemed to struggle with a table of 6 and some of the food was cold or under-seasoned. A shame because its a lovely place otherwise. We'll be sticking to the drinks.

Went for a Birthday meal last week, started with some cocktails in the laid-back bar before dinner in the light and airy upper floor of the restaurant ( this floor has huge windows along one side that can be folded back on hot days to give a semi alfresco feel) All our meals were delicious, some interesting choices available 'pulled... I've been to Goldbrick House on a few occasions with colleagues to enjoy the generous happy hours (4hrs!). This was my first time visiting for a meal and it was great to visit for my birthday. The setting in the upstairs restaurant was great with views over the city and the decor was refined and clean. The service was good... More

Moving from London to Bristol necessitates finding out about new places to eat. New colleagues took me to Goldbrick House which is about 5 minutes from my soon-to-be place of work. Disappointingly, though, we went straight into the main course. My parmesan gnocchi with caramelised butternut squash, toasted almonds & sage velouté (£12.95) was excellent - I much prefer gnocchi... Had a very nice impromptu lunch here with my wife recently. Excellent food, good service. Have also brought lots of business clients here who've all enjoyed it. Good location on Park St, one of the nicest shopping hubs in the centre of Bristol. All in all, highly recommended, especially if you can get one of their lunch time deals!

I have just become a vegan and have to say I was a little daunted by going out for dinner with the in laws - just got back from Goldbrick where they had a special menu for vegans. Excellent service. Lovely waitress. Really impressed with the standard of the vegan food - tasted great. Thank you! X

I recently went to a high tea for a friends hen party! I was very impressed with the cosy setting. The scones were delicious and the amount of food on offer was very generous. Good value for money.

My friends and I were not very Impressed with the service on an evening out for one of our birthday's. Uninterested bar staff standing around looking gormless. Unhelpful when one of our group requested a non alcoholic cocktail. They didn't seem to grasp that as a non drinker she didn't know what alcoholic cocktail (having never had one) she would... More

Having arrived at Goldbrick House to have some cocktails before heading to dinner we were flabbergasted by the rude, unhelpful and generally miserable staff serving us. After arriving and deciding what we wanted from their chalkboard offer which shows 2 cocktails for a certain price the bar staff then told us "Oh they have to be 2 of the same"... More

Hi Debbie1973. Thanks for taking time to write your review on Tripadvsior. It was with huge disappointment that I read this review. We clearly missed the mark on so many points but worst of all, the service that was provided to you was simply inexcusable and for this, I'd like to offer my sincere apologies to you and your group... Having had a good experience for lunch about a year ago, visited last night for dinner. It's a big place and was very busy, possibly overstretching the waiting staff. Large rooms with minimal soft furnishing meant it was very noisy - ok so it has atmosphere. We were seated immediately, given menus and offered water. Nobody returned to take a... More
