Try the sampling menu!

We went there for a leaving event so a room full of hungry guys so we had the sampling feast at 35 quid a head. They did us proud and the staff were really good. Good choice of wines and a great venue made this a special one for Tim's farewell. Thanks Goldbrick! I will be back!

The food portions were tiny. We nearly laughted when we saw them. Indifferent food and poor value. One pudding was not what was ordered and when this was pointed out it was replaced, wordlessly, by another pudding that was still not what was ordered! Waitress was otherwise pleasant.

It looks from reading some of the previous reviews that there has been a decline in the quality of food from this restaurant since May of this year. We and another couple went for an evening meal on 24.7.15. We also encountered all the problems mentioned in other reviews. Our mushroom bruchetter starter was a very uninspiring dish of toast... Yesterday, we spent a considerable amount of time looking at the dining options with a view to making a booking for lunch for four people this Saturday. We explained to the front of house person, we couldn't book at the time as we didn't precisely know what time our visitors were arriving. We were advised it wasnt necessary to book... More

We started with soufflé that was more like a scone, and heavier, main, possibly the worst piece of sirloin steak my son and I have eaten £22.50 to boot, tough as pardon the pun. Its our third visit but the standard of food has definitely deteriorated. If anyone asks us now about goldbrick house we would just say pretentious, over... More

I read a lot of reviews on this place to see if it had changed much since I went in 2013 and was disappointed to see that it had received a fair few negative reviews. I decided to book anyway as I have a taste card that gets me 50% off and thought it couldn't be that bad - and... More

Having lived in Bristol for quite a while I had not come across this gem in the rough which is Park Street. We stumbled, figuratively speaking!, into this lovely bar late on a Friday evening for a beer and noticed their amazing charcuterie menu. It is a fantastic example of a well thought out and very tasty variety of beautiful... More

Called in here on a quiet Monday in July. A total of 33 guests including our table for 6 in the top floor dining room. Three members of staff visible, but only one waitress. I started to get nervous when an order of 3 Fino sherries took 15 minutes to arrive, when our second order of a round of cocktails... More

The food we ate here sounded great on the menu but was slightly disappointing when it arrived. It wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination but it just didn't live up to expectations. It's not cheap here, and the portions are fairly small which is fine if the food delivers on flavour. I just found it was lacking in... More

Freindly and relaxed greeting, super menu, had trouble choosing. Food was delicious, loved the beetroot jus, such an intense flavour, could have eaten a whole bowlful, shame we not in Bristol more often to return again and again.
