a good breakfast. The former River Police Station is a great place to gaze out at the harbour and everything floating by. Friendly staff and excellent poached eggs on toast with crispy bacon - what more do you need to start your day? A favourite of ours for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Check out the floral decorations too - they're... More

This was an evening spoiled to some extent by a huge party 30 people + who refused to control their children who expectedly were bored and who were completely ignored by their parents, whilst I appreciate this is a very difficult thing for a restaurant to control to some extent they should have been more forthright in dealing with this... The staff were very friendly and attentive and we were given a pleasant room to ourselves.Service was prompt and the food very good. I happened to like two of the three dishes on the main menu but fussy eaters might have found a choice of liver, fish or goat's cheese a little difficult. The desserts were lovely and the waiter happily provided... I'd always liked the Riverstation, but recently I've sort of rediscover it. The downstairs section (where I usually go for a quick bit with clients) has a menu which changes regularly, the service is quick (and the waiters attentive), and on a sunny day you can sit outside by the water, which makes the experience all the better. It's ideal... More

We spotted the Riverstation's location on google maps and then read the great reviews so we booked a table about a week ahead. We were shown to a table near the window with a great river view. We were given the menu of the day (yes it changes every day with the fresh supplies available - impressive). I had scallops... More

Had two exceptional meals here in the last month, food was faultless, excellent flavours and lovely presentation. Staff very attentive, even to the point of offering me GF bread when I had to refused their wonderful treacle bread. Our waiter even popped back to inform us that the tartlet we had ordered wasn't gluten free either, just in case we... More

We visited for our monthly 'date night' and were not disappointed. The service was second to none with friendly and helpful waiters helping us chose our dishes and recommend wine. The menu is very fish-oriented which was great for us as fish lovers. I tried the grouse for starter while my partner tried the scallops. Both dishes were fantastic. There... More
