An interesting place. If you're looking for an extra special treat at the "home of Bristol Cream" then you might be disappointed. This isn't exactly an upmarket restaurant and the slightly cafe-style atmosphere doesn't do justice to the iconic drink. That said, the value is excellent and the resraurant is well worth a visit. Also, great drinks and staff. All... More

Excellent evening at this lovely taps bar. Great staff, Patricia our waitress was very attentive and helpful. What a difference friendly staff make! Thank you Patricia. The food was very tasty and fulfilling. We will definetly visit again, would like to visit when live music playing.

Although I reviewed this restaurant previously, as they have added Spanish Tapas to their menu now, I thought I'd just update it! There is now a Spanish Tapas menu in addition to the sumptuous food on the Creole one. The wine flights are fantastic and great value too - pairing each course to the wine or sherry. We continue to... More

I went to Harvey's a few weeks ago with my girfriends for drinks and dinner... All of which were pleasant ... Service was good.. And I feel this place should be given a chance... It's hard these days to take over a well established business and try to bring it back to life... You can please everyone ... But reviews... More

Went in a party of 6 ladies for the tapas menu. Started with sherry with ice and lemon, a different way to drink it for me. Then spicy prawns as starters, followed by Jamaican slow cooked beef with spinach. Coconut and pineapple cake for dessert. The wine was reasonably priced. Having just returned from Nerja in Spain, where the taps was... More

It was ok. Nothing spectacular. The food was nice but a little overthought I would say. It was clear that the restaurant is past it's best days. I wasn't sure if the juice used in thecoctail was fresh.

We were taken to Harveys Cellars for a Tapas lunch, using a Groupon deal to part-pay for the meal. Our companions had been before and had enjoyed it enough to introduce it to us. A strange smell of incense greets you as go down the stairs. The downstairs room has a continental feel to it, with a central island bar,... More

VERY poor service, waited over half an hour at the bar for a drink, food was over-priced for something that tased no better than a bland ready meal (in fact I have tasted much better ready meals!!) Bar staff were rude/offhand and came across as 'moody'! There was a distinct 'musty' (not very nice!) smell to the place. Overall a... More

The brand Harvey's has been a bristol institution for decades. I was so excited to see it reopen and the restaurant looked fantastic with the great bar and the wall of bristol blue glass sherry bottles. I thought the concept of a tapas restaurant would work well with the history of sherry. Good but simple Spanish tapas would have been... More

Booked this restaurant on living social as tapas and a cocktail. I should have looked at the menu as I thought it would be Spanish/ Mezze style tapas but it was carrabean food which I don't Like. We were very disappointed as the food we did have was bland and tasteless. The cocktail was good though. I won't be returning.... More
