Good food at great price

Visited with family on a Friday night. Ordered food and once waitress left we decided we wanted extra bread and olives. Waitress quickly sorted this out with no trouble. We had all ordered steak cooked to varying tastes and they actually came out cooked to what we ordered which is a task with my... read more

Staying for the weekend in Bristol, this restaurant just happened to be nearby. What luck. I went for supper with my daughter, prepared for the usual culinary compromises as I am a coeliac. But what a refreshing surprise.... Coeliac? Not a problem. Contamination? Really not a problem. Even chips? We have a separate frier, of course! Too good to be... More

Continues to be the best value for money in Bristol. 3 courses of excellent food for £10. Who can argue with that but get there before 7pm to get this price. Friendly and still great value for money after 7pm.

£10 for 3 course lunch menu, couldn't complain at all. I put the food in the "very good pub food" category. Service and surrounding were equally good. Recommend fish and chips and Mushrooms on Toast

Hen party of 12 visited after cocktails close by and this was great. I dropped off some table decorations and the team did a wonderful job of decorating while we were partying a few doors away. We ate from the set menu, great value at £20 and the food was amazing. Fab service, attentive and great fun. Thanks town house... More

Visited the Townhouse for Sunday lunch as they offer a gluten free roast, in fact the gluten free options on the menu are numerous. As I have Coeliac disease, avoiding gluten is essential. The Sunday roast arrived, how disappointing, two wafer thin slices of meat, in fact thinner than a wafer, 3 potatoes and a small amount of vegetables in... More

Came here with a friend for the set lunch. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Service very efficient. Three courses for £10, amazing! The starter of garlic mushrooms on brioche toast was excellent. The fish stew good and tasty raspberry sorbet. Good bottle of house wine. Great value, will certainly return.

18 of us on a Saturday lunchtime. Staff were great as was the food. Not sure how you can eat whitebait, warm salad of spring lamb and a selection of desserts for a tenner! Ignore the moaners and go there. I wish they had somewhere like this in Bath where we live. Totally recommended.

This was my first visit to The Town House. Although we were all welcomed on arrival and the service was good, there were issues that make me doubt if I will return - given the competition within a mile or so of the restaurant. First the positives: 1. Great price at £10 for a three course lunch. 2. We were... More
