We were wandering around looking for somewhere to eat lunch & stopped due to the noticeboard advertising the £10.00 3 course luncheon. Good starter of Scallops, which were nice -but the sauce around them was a bit overbearing (there was a £4 surcharge on these which I didn't notice on the menu)I chose a main of pork belly which tasted... Went for a milestone birthday with daughters & partners (5 plus a 6-weeks-old baby) and had the club room all for ourselves (seats 30 dining/80 for a party) on first floor. Service was excellent, and attended to by a very pretty, attentive & polite waitress. The menu and drinks list caters for all tastes. It's got this Bristol thing going... More

Was walking by and stopped due to the noticeboard advertising the £10 3 course lunch. Excellent value (Whiteladies Road is great for good value lunches) and I had that with a good value carafe of wine. Faultless starter of rare roast beef on beef dripping toast, good mussels (although fries were your normal bought in variety) and lovely dessert. I... More

We were taken to the Townhouse by my father-in-law who had never been before. When we arrived, it was about half-full and the three of us were shown to a rather small table in the corner. Not the greatest of starts, but luckily the food made up for it. We went straight for the roasts, and they were as good... More

I visited as part of a group of six, we ordered a variety of meals, including white bait (starter), the seafood platter (excellent but on the expensive side at £39 for 2), and roast (good value and spot on). For me the best bit about the Townhouse is actually the staff - they are spot on - always faultlessly friendly... More

Recently went here for an in laws birthday dinner. Food- just to set the scene I am a bit of a food snob. I ate a la carte, starting with soup. It was spiced carrot, nice flavour and texture. It was also quite a large portion size. Main was lamb hotpot, this was a bit unusual. There is a sliced... More

Visited here with family. Need to book a table at the weekend as its very busy. The food was delicious. Very tasty, and full of flavours! The lamb for the main was one of the best courses of the night. We could not find a fault with any of the food. The tomato and mozzarella starter was lovely and light.... More

The food here is amazing. Love their dinner deals and roasts. One of the best restaurants in Bristol. I need to go back again soon.

Great lunchtime deal - 3 courses for £10 with lots of Gluten Free choice. Staff very friendly and attentive, and small area out the front so you can sit outside in the warm weather. Will go back.

I feel kind of bad leaving a poor review since the serving staff were all so nice, but it's not a place I'll be visiting again because of the sheer number of issues and the quality of the food. The starters were decent - we had the garlic mushrooms on brioche and the mozzarella/tomato salad. Then the wait began... it... More
