Unexpectedly Good Lunch Set Menu

Having had a brilliant time last Aug for a special birthday where five of us had a large room upstairs to ourselves until almost midnight, I didn't expect the set menus would be anywhere near as good for the price - 3 courses £10. However, the choices, flavour combinations, presentation and... read more

A welcoming front leads to an awkward pause at the door next to some poor couples table, though quickly waved over to a table. Inside was nice enough, but I was sweating by the end of the night! Very warm inside. Disappointingly slow service, a long time waiting just to order drinks and food, an even longer time for starter... More

We have been here a few times now and the food is consistently good. The place is busy so maybe customers might think the staff are being rude, but are in actual fact they are probably rushed off their feet due to the popularity of the place. Today we had the set lunch which was £8.90 for two courses -... More

I have been a few times now and the Townhouse do the best roast I have had at any restaurant. Way better than Brace and Browns- who were awarded 'The Best Roast 2014'. Especially love the huge yorkshire puds, yummy accompaniments and the perfectly cooked meat! yum!

Really good food, I come here about three times each month and I've never had a bad meal! Best roast dinner I've had and the set menu is amazingly good value. I have a lotta love for this little place!

Best Sunday Dinner I have ever eaten!!!! As a chef I am quite critical when eating out, but I could not fault this meal. There were even Gluten Free options for my fellow diner. Highly recommended!!!!

We have heard some good stories about The Townhouse especially their Sunday lunches so we thought we would give it a go on a Friday evening. We booked for 6 people but then an hour to go we had a 7th. Quick phonecall to them and no problem. Turned up at 7.30, warm greetings and then throughout the evening food... More

I was a bit disappointed by the food as had heard good things and this was a special occasion. The mushroom on toast starter was cold and the mushrooms tasted like they had come from a tin. We had to add salt which I've never had to do in a restaraunt before and there was absolutely no flavour. Main course... More

Can honestly say that The Townhouse does the best roast dinner we've ever had. We brought our family here too a few months ago and they still talk about it...and tell their friends. The pricing is very reasonable, the staff are nice and the food is always delicious and well presented. Their weekly offer is amazing too. Would highly recommend.

Thank you The Town House for another lovely three course meal for £10 ( ordered before 7pm ) everything was a delight to eat, from liver and onions on toast, healthy winter superfood hot salad with a fab poached egg, to rice pudding for desert. Super flavours, well seasoned, good value food. Excellent service. Well done The Town House. I... More
