Any port in a storm

I didn't have time to get to the new pizza place before the early film at The Cube, so popped into this little cafe. I had falafels (with flat bread, humus and salad) and a bottle of ginger beer. I'll never get bored of Kino. It's a great place run by lovely people with a lovely atmosphere. The food is always really homely and tasty with the best choices being their burgers or sandwiches. They sometimes do really nice cold coffees too and interesting stuff like cola floats. A must visit when you visit Bristol. Or if you're like... More

Kino does a fantastic veggie breakfast (their garlic mushrooms are the best ever) and a damned good Americano, with wifi and good music as well. What more can you want on a Saturday morning?

This cafe in Stokes Croft is just fab. Lots of different types of people pop in here. For me today it's for a cup of tea and some hummus and pitta bread whilst doing my emails. You can watch the world go by outside as bikes; pedestrians and cars pass by. Somehow feeling part of the world but separate too... More

We had an informal birthday brunch held here (~20 people staggered, we had a few booths booked). Cannot argue with the price: quality of the food is great, portions are generous and filling. This place is veggie heaven. The people that work here are passionate about what they do. It's really worth trying for non-veggies looking to explore how creative... More

Nice friend place, food was good, can get dairy milk if you wasn't and interesting atmosphere. Only major let down was the price.

First of all, I don't think it is clearly indicated that this is a vegetarian restaurant. I went for lunch with a friend and we only found out that the hamburgers were veggie when ordering them. "Never mind", we thought, "the place looks quite nice". In the end the food was tasteless, dry and the hamburgers swimming in frying oil.... More

Came in for something to eat with my partner and both had the classic kino burger. The food was great value and full of flavour. The atmosphere was very chilled and comfy. Love the style, ethos and feel. Highly recommend!

The falafel here are to die for.... the takeaway version in pitta bread is both enormous and the best value meal i think I've ever had in the uk. I was pining for years to replicate amazing falafel experiences Inhad whilst living in Germany... and this does the trick! Beanburger also delicious. Just be prepared to wait up to half... More
