I've been to Brace & Browns a number of times for drinks as its an excellent place to go during the summer months with its large decking at the front and great variety of drinks. A number of my friends said that I should try the Sunday roast as they are the best, but never had the chance till last... More

Been to Brace and Browns a few times now and it never fails to please. Went for the 'all you can eat' tapas night and was so impressed with the quality, presentation and taste of each dish. Also ended up polishing off two bottles of red wine between 3 of us (the selection was upmarket but reasonably priced) and stayed... More

I have been to Brace and Browns a number of times now and have never been disappointed. I have always enjoyed the excellent tapas brilliant, hearty, classic English dishes with great variety whether you are a meat, fish or a veggie lover. All brilliantly presented without compromising on the portion - vital!! For me the 'Pièce de Résistance' is their... More

I was all ready to give Brace and Browns a five-star review based on a visit with my partner in August, when we sat outside on a Sunday and enjoyed possibly the best roast dinner either of us had ever had. I wasn't that well on the day so only my partner ate, but so much food arrived that I... More

We went for a large family Sunday Lunch and after hearing about how good the food was I expecting a lot more than actually delivered. The majority of the food was good, and presentation was nice, however was let down by a couple of poor items such as the waxey non roasted "roast" potato, watery gravy and portion size. I... More

We came here on a spontaneous visit one quiet Tuesday night and were pleasantly surprised as we'd never heard of the place before. Found it very welcoming and cosy, despite being very quiet. The menu had a good selection of tapas with some original ideas. Very nice beer too. Well worth a visit for some informal food and fun.

Took my brother here for a celebratory birthday lunch. Staff attentive from the telephone booking and throughout. Didn't realise there was only Roast lunches served on a Sunday but this wasn't a problem. Excellent choice, Beef, Lamb, Pork or Veggie nut roast. We all had the beef which was done to perfection in our book, very pink and running as... More

Would dispute the "best Sunday roast in Bristol" tag, especially if you are vegetarian. I'm not actually, but do love a good nut-roast which this definitely isn't! I think It was a tiny fried veggie-burger, and a mushy one at that - really very disappointing. My colleagues had the pork and lamb which they said was good, roast potatoes overdone,... More

This place is far too understated for its own good! When you look at the menu it all seems pretty basic, giving you no idea of the creativity of the dishes...the menu's front page goes heavy on the burgers so i was half expecting some decent 'pub grub'. However we went for the tapa's and when the food arrived we... More

The best place for the most amazing roast on a sunday! Tapas during the week is absolutely out of this world. With an amazing array of flavours , colours and textures. This place is a must!!!
