Superb Sunday lunch

Heard this place was recommended for Sunday lunch, so had to give it a try. The atmosphere is cosy and somehow slightly exclusive. Perhaps due to the love of natural light, but this somehow adds to the experience. I'd suggest booking as it tends to get quite busy The staff were approachable and... read more

Adverts outside state this establishment provides the best roast in Bristol. Even with high expectations, Brace & Browns failed to disappoint! The pork belly and roast rump was to die for! Despite the huge portion served, nothing was wasted. All staff were smiley, chatty and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Their bottomless brunch is amazing, the Sunday lunch unbelievable and the all you can eat tapas on a Monday is a dream. We also sampled various cocktails which are amazing and 241 at certain times in the day, i'd recommend the Hemmingway Daiquiri. This place cannot be faulted in my opinion, food and drinks are delicious and the staff are... More

It should have been a warning sign when it was the only place on Whiteladies Road we were able to book at short notice! It was busy but not full. The waitresses were friendly but very slow. Apparently there was a big party downstairs and it appeared that we had to suffer for this. The biggest let down was the... More

Lovely little place that went well out of its way to serve our large party for a works do. The service was really good and there didn't seem to be any delays or missing food which is unusual when you have a large party. The male staff were all very friendly and helpful and very patient with us! Female staff... More

The food rates no more than three stars here - fine but it's not going to win any awards. Basic cooking that does not shine in any way. Shame really, because the surroundings are fantastic - beautiful building, well restored for use as a bar resturant. The staff are good and attentive. And the men's toilet - well it's straight... Popped in for lunch and opted for the all you can eat tapas with a glass of the house white wine. The food was beautifully cooked and absolutely scrumptious - favourites included the spicy pumpkin risotto, grilled mackerel and prawns in chilli sauce. The wine was well balanced and a delicious accompaniment. In short, the perfect lunchtime treat and excellent... More
