Masa is undoubtedly one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been to in the UK. The food is always fresh and prepared to perfection. The restaurant is cleaned to a very high standard and the staff are very polite and helpful. It has a very quiet atmosphere to the restaurant but usually has some nice Japanese background music... Both time's I've been there in large groups and the staff always cope amazingly well! The waiter took the order for the whole table by memory and did not get one thing wrong! Went for my birthday, booked in advance and got a huge perfect table at the back of the place. Between 20 of my adventurous and fussy friends... More

I went there because I didn't know where else to go, and was in for a TREAT! The service was really nice. The food was exquisite! I'm veggy, and the tofu was fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything I had was really really nice. The bill was not too much (I went to similar restaurants where the food was not... More

I went as a group of 10 and we had the private room with the chef cooking at the hot plate. The food was good but the general level of cleanliness was poor. The area behind the chef was very greasy with splash marks everywhere. The window sill behind the chef where the raw meat was placed was also in... More

We arrived in Bristol late one evening and unfortunately choose to eat the restaurant 'Masa'. The outside of the venue was very deceiving and we expected to have an expensive special occasion meal. However, when we arrived the restaurant was empty... We continued hastily and sat in the corner of the restaurant which was perfect for people watching - so... More

I can also highly recomend the tempura vegetables and the chicken Gyoza they are very well done. i can vouch for little... More

The luxury sashimi selection is a must and so is the sirloin beef teriyaki. It is not the fastest service in the world and they should focus on improving their up selling skills by looking at there customers if they need something. We ended up ordering 2 rounds of drinks every time we had contact to a waiter. The food... More

I ordered a takeout meal. First of all it took them half an hour to prep it even though the restaurant had all of 10 people in it. When i got back to my hotel room everything was cold. The prawn tempura sushi roll was awful, the miso wasn’t very nice either and the tempura batter had gone soft because... More

I ordered buffet menu but staff turn up every half an hour. You can stay only 3hr time. I would recommend you to order as much as you can at once!

Booked the restaurant by telephone for Teppanyaki meal a few days before we visited Bristol. Called at the restaurant personally the day before we were due to eat to confirm our booking. Just as well! The entry in their diary was very garbled. Not a problem; there were no other bookings. Sorted out our booking for the meal at 8.30... More
