Wondering Why We Keep Winning Awards Lately? Do you remember when food used to taste amazing? Days before the supermarkets piled in with their frozen, pre-packaged chemical concoctions. I remember when my Granddad used to make even simple toast & butter taste incredible; thick slices of freshly baked bread, smothered in real salted butter and it used to taste... Just oh so amazing! But somewhere down the line, we've lost this. It seems everyday food's all about speed, microwaves and pre-packaged. What? Day-to-day, we've now become used to bland, tasteless food, to the point where some basic fast food can even be classed as "tasty". I'm not having it...

Afternoon tea at Chin! Chin! SUPERB.

A warm welcome, lots of smiley faces gives a great first impression which got better through the tea, sandwiches and cakes. Had afternoon tea here with my partner and step son. Service was attentive and swift. Sandwiches were tasty, cakes and scones were amazing! I was in brownie heaven! Tea was free flowing. Great value, we were all fit to burst by the end. We saw other food coming out to other tables and it all looked delicious. Would definitely recommend.

When I went in, we were welcome by a smiling waiter. The restaurant was shabby chic, with pine tables and a chandelier. The menu looked ok for a lunch menu. There was a good choice for everyone, including vegetarians. I chose a door step sandwich, but when it was put in front of me, I thought to myself :" how... More

Came here with friends on the weekend. Atmosphere and the food were good but the service was very lacking. The wrong food turned up and they made a point of telling us that this was our fault for ordering wrong not professional at all

I visited last Sunday (12th) with a group of 9. They kindly allowed us into the restaurant early as it was pouring outside! We had a mix of chicken, beef, pork belly and nut roast eaters - all of which were delicious!! The yorkshires are huge, the vegetable accompaniments are very tasty, and the herb roasted potatoes were scrumptious!! It... More

I have had a few afternoon teas and a wedding breakfast here over the last few years! Staff are friendly, ambience is fab and tea comes in proper, big pots. What more could you want?

Have just returned from a delicious Fathers day meal at Chinchin. I booked here as I was looking for a hearty traditional Sunday roast that is so very hard to come by these day. I have been searching in Bristol for over 6 years, finally I have found it @ Chinchin!!!! We were 3 adults and a child, we had... More

Certainly a great place to take over for a wedding reception, but you do not need to have someone getting married to enjoy this version of a tapas menu. Enjoy the starters and the bread and olives but don't enjoy them too much for the main course will come, and come, and come, and come. I remember seeing smoked salmon,... More

Do NOT be put off by the website! Walking through the door instantly dispelled my worries that the place would be jingoistic, stuck in the Edwardian era, nauseatingly shabby chic, excessively fussy, or otherwise form-over-function. It is snug and could pass as quaint, but it is also highly efficient. The staff I encountered were helpful to a T, the service... More
