Wondering Why We Keep Winning Awards Lately? Do you remember when food used to taste amazing? Days before the supermarkets piled in with their frozen, pre-packaged chemical concoctions. I remember when my Granddad used to make even simple toast & butter taste incredible; thick slices of freshly baked bread, smothered in real salted butter and it used to taste... Just oh so amazing! But somewhere down the line, we've lost this. It seems everyday food's all about speed, microwaves and pre-packaged. What? Day-to-day, we've now become used to bland, tasteless food, to the point where some basic fast food can even be classed as "tasty". I'm not having it...

Lovely Afternoon Tea

I had afternoon tea with a friend for my birthday, the whole atmosphere of Chin Chin is warm and friendly. The cakes and sandwiches were lovely, the scones were as big as the saucers, they were delicious. Would definitely go again.

Took my mother here for afternoon tea. I can not thank them enough as firstly I hadn't booked and secondly turned up at 1pm asking for afternoon tea. Promptly rustled up the most delicious afternoon tea allowing us to pick a sandwich off the menu (I highly recommend the Caribbean Chicken.) the scones are clearly home made and delightful! Plentiful... More

Went last night with my boyfriend for a quick dinner, had to book in advance - but they were very helpful with making sure we got the time we wanted! Really lovely, enthusiastic staff and the food was delicious. Really great to try something different for a change, and the atmosphere is very cosy and comfortable.

Just had a 'first' afternoon tea at the wonderful 'chin chins' for a birthday treat and what a treat it was!! As always, the staff are so warm and friendly and the food first class! This has become by far, my favourite place to eat out in bristol - the Sunday roast is delicious and can't be beaten on taste,... More

Faced with organising a retirement do for a dear friend and colleague I looked to ChinChin. My family and I love the Sunday lunches served at ChinChin, which include delicious vegetarian options. For the retirement do of 24 people it was suggested that we go for Chef's Feast option. The food was delicious, varied and charmingly presented on vintage china.... More

I visit Chin Chin fairly regularly and am never disappointed. The lunch menu has expanded since my first visit and now includes more than just sandwiches, although these are fab! I had the cauliflower soup a few days ago, which was lovely, served with a generous chunk of bread and butter, which is always appreciated! The atmosphere is always lovely... More

We've been to Chin! Chin! a couple of times for Sunday roast and they really are fantastic, great portion sizes and really tasty. The tea and desserts really top it all off . This time however we were slightly disappointed by the slowness of the service.. Now don't get me wrong, the staff are extremely friendly but this visit they... More

I organised my best friends hen do at Chin Chin, the service and food was fantastic! We did cocktail making and had the delicious Afternoon Tea. We had the venue to ourselves and were able to decorate it. Would definitely recommend it for parties as well as food.
