Wondering Why We Keep Winning Awards Lately? Do you remember when food used to taste amazing? Days before the supermarkets piled in with their frozen, pre-packaged chemical concoctions. I remember when my Granddad used to make even simple toast & butter taste incredible; thick slices of freshly baked bread, smothered in real salted butter and it used to taste... Just oh so amazing! But somewhere down the line, we've lost this. It seems everyday food's all about speed, microwaves and pre-packaged. What? Day-to-day, we've now become used to bland, tasteless food, to the point where some basic fast food can even be classed as "tasty". I'm not having it...

I have had a few afternoon teas and a wedding breakfast here over the last few years! Staff are friendly, ambience is fab and tea comes in proper, big pots. What more could you want?

Have just returned from a delicious Fathers day meal at Chinchin. I booked here as I was looking for a hearty traditional Sunday roast that is so very hard to come by these day. I have been searching in Bristol for over 6 years, finally I have found it @ Chinchin!!!! We were 3 adults and a child, we had... More

Certainly a great place to take over for a wedding reception, but you do not need to have someone getting married to enjoy this version of a tapas menu. Enjoy the starters and the bread and olives but don't enjoy them too much for the main course will come, and come, and come, and come. I remember seeing smoked salmon,... More

Do NOT be put off by the website! Walking through the door instantly dispelled my worries that the place would be jingoistic, stuck in the Edwardian era, nauseatingly shabby chic, excessively fussy, or otherwise form-over-function. It is snug and could pass as quaint, but it is also highly efficient. The staff I encountered were helpful to a T, the service... More

Dined at Chin Chin after visiting the bar next door (Beerd) on the advice of the manager when booking our table. When we arrived the place was quite full, we were a late evening booking on a Saturday, starters and wine came in good time and the waiter offered to explain the tapas style menu to us. The food came... More

We made all the way up hill to come here for a Sunday roast attracted by the wonderful reviews. To our surprise, the expectations were way too high. We made a reservation over the phone, the staff seemed friendly. They even called us again after booking the table saying that they had a missed call from our number, which was... More

Had my surprise 30th lunch here and it was fantastic! Nothing was too much for the staff and the food was delicious. They make an excellent birthday cake too!

Throw away any memories you have from your childhood or adulthood, of how your most favourite meal tastes. Their dishes are a game changer which assaults your taste buds and raises your receptor bar to a whole new level. Quite extraordinary.

We booked here because all the other restaurants we wanted to go to were fully booked. I was a little nervous of the menu having had a disastrous meal at the similar tapas style menu at Bell's Diner. However! I was wrong to be sceptical and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had a right mash up of foods from British... More
