Have been here three times now and overall had very good experiences! The service is good and waiters are friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is lovely although the food a little hit or miss, with one delicious fish pie followed by a fairly average one on our second visit. Overall would definitely recommend as a reasonably priced restaurant with generally... More

The Grain Barge is fast becoming a local of mine as a new resident of Bristol! At the quieter end of the Harbourside on Hotwells Rd it provides a lovely location to sit out in the sunshine on top deck or get cosy on a squishy sofa downstairs. Good wholesome food (pls note they don't serve food between 4 &... More

I organised a surprise party for my wife's 60th at the Grain Barge earlier this month and, I have to say, they couldn't have been more helpful. The buffet was good and went down well with our guests. The band (The First Raitt Band) were brilliant and got everyone dancing. Our friends and family ensured that over £1,000 was spent... More

I don't usually like to go to pubs for meals, but the barge is quite exceptional . Food is really good , staff really friendly and it has a great atmosphere .they have a real chef that likes to get creative at times and comes up with some pretty interesting quality specials .

Recently discovered the grain barge and although I live 35 miles away now look forward to making this a regular haunt. The beer is some of the best particularly the Sunrise. Staff helpful and views to die for.

The food here is a reliable meal. I had a roast the last time and it was ok. Although you're much better off going on other days when the food is always really good. The beer, I'm told, is excellent. The views and the atmosphere are second to none.

Always a nice place for a couple of sociable drinks, with a lovely atmosphere and a good selection of beers. Staff are always cordial, and the food is good too if you're eating. Its best feature, without doubt, is the top deck, which is the perfect place to soak up the sun over a few pints in the summer months.... More

Had a lovely afternoon drinking and eating in the grain barge, the selection of beers were superb, (I had the local wheat beer) and a huge burger, made from high quality beef, and beautiful hand cut chips. The views were great too.

Visited many time with friends and family. The food has always been consistantly good although i would feel slightly overpriced; however the service justifies the extra price, great service always. The beer is to die for!
