Tasty pint and inspiring views

An amazing location and some top-quality local beers from Bristol Beer Factory. The whole of the waterfront near the boat is worth a wander- it is clear that a lot of thought, time and expense has been put into the area. I didn't find the man behind the bar the friendliest- and he charged... read more

Had a beautiful Sunday roast here, very good quality and the setting is very novel, good prices and easy to park and find.

First time visit to Grain Barge and I'll definitely be coming back! Was very nice sat up on the deck on a warm Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed a pint while watching a rang of different water sports/activities going on. Found it really relaxing/peaceful. We decided to go back inside to eat, we found a lovely window seat which had equally... More

Last night we decided to try out the Grain Barge to celebrate some good news. Initially we had a beer on the deck of the boat - with a fabulous view of the boats & rowers on the water. Lovely. We ate inside in the bar - good food that was tasty and filling. All the bar/waiting staff were friendly... More

I have been here several times for drinks and its a great place especially if the sun is shining and you can get a seat on the top deck and watch the world go by. Last Sunday I booked a table as several people had recommended their Sunday lunch. I am afraid the Sunday lunch was possibly one of the... More

Ordered the steak sandwich -place wasn't busy, but waited an hour and food then came cold -they replaced it but then came cold again. Bread was dry. It was so smothered in English mustard it was really a very very hot mustard sandwich- it was impossible to taste anything else - and I normally like hot food. My partner had... More

Set right in the harbour there is always something to see on the river. The SS Great Britain is just across the harbour. The restaurant has loads of character and worked out perfectly for us. Food is good, not great and priced about right. I still think that £9 for a hamburger is expensive but it seems the norm in... More

We went here twice recently. First time was for lunch and the sandwiches were really lovely. Second time was during the evening and we had pies, which were also really nice. It's great to sit out on the top deck when the weather is nice and enjoy the harbour. My husband says the beers were good too. So overall, a... More

The food was great (we all had pies but the other things wet saw looked fab too). It was very busy so you need to be willing to wait. The only negative was that the lager was pretty flat and the wine a little warm.
