Sitting on this boat on a sunny day, just didn't want to move! Had a lovely hot drink priced at under £2 and stayed on for a cider on tap and their delicious chunky chips with garlic mayo (highly recommend!) lovely location, very comfortable, perfect for a catch up in pleasing surroundings, can't wait to go back again.

My first visit here was on Valentines day and it was perfect as i'm not an overly romantic person and to my surprise i wasn't surrounded by soppy romantic couples. The boat has a very cosy feeling and allows dogs in the outside seating area which is great for me. The scallops were delicious, but my only criticism is the... More

Some old friend's where in town for the evening, so we brought them here. Food was good, reasonably priced and the service was great. To top it all off there was a fun quiz on a Monday evening!

A great use for an old barge.you need to be sure on your feet to get around this pub as you are literally on a working ship with low bulk heads, steep stairs and a slight tilt to starboard but that's what gives it its charm. Nice selection of real ales and food on offer. You can sit inside or... More

A few locally brewed beers, what more can i say, very enjoyable on this boat that feels just a classic pub but on a boat moored. Had some hot chips which were delicious with the drinks. Not much atmosphere or activity when my Fiance' and I was there but there is nights with entertainment.

The Internet suggested The Grain Barge, moored across the Floating Harbour from the SS Great Britain, might be a good place for a casual meal and it was right. The venue is about a 20 minute walk from the Cascade, just long enough to whet the appetite, and the waterside route was well-lit. We booked a table (London habit and... More

Tasty Sunday Roast, good location and good selection of drinks. Can get full on a Sunday so pre-book to be sure you get a seat.

We are frequent visitors to the Grain Barge as I love Bristol beer factory Milk Stout and the location is fantastic for watching the world go by on the water. The staff always are less than attentive and customers appear to be something they have to put up with. On one occasion I had to wait half an hour for... More

My wife and I booked a table for an evening meal one Saturday recently. As expected the beer was fab but we didn't care for the ambience for the meal being just the 2 of us, better as a group. The food was average in our opinion, my wife's steak was poor and we mentioned this and were told a... More
