Bright and colourful, the Souk Kitchen on North Street is a vibrant eatery that has brought a brand new style of dining to the Bristol restaurant scene. Encouraging people to share and to try new things, the menu at the Souk Kitchen is filled with small plates, mezze, dips, tagines, salads and grill dishes that are inspired by the traditional souks of Damascus, Marrakech and Beirut. Created using aromatic produce such as preserved lemons, tahini, honey and orange blossom, this is a stellar, moreish menu that you and your family and friends will love. The dcor at the Souk Kitchen is an eclectic mix of candy-coloured wallpaper and shelves stacked with ingredients including couscous, saffron and rosewater.

Great place if you want somewhere different

The service and the atmosphere were great. A nice busy little restaurant (make sure you book!) The food was very good with lovely spices. We massively over ordered so were stuffed when we left. Will be going back soon!

A low key restaurant, very relaxed with an interesting selection of middle eastern food. The mezze was a great starter, an interesting selection of veggie and other meats for mains and the most delicious desserts. Worth a try for a casual evening out.

We have been before earlier in the year and we had the same great experience again. My wife and I, took our niece and my two elder children. The staff were brilliant and made us fell very welcome. We were helped swath the menu and type of food we liked and given various suggestions. The food was excellent, we shall be... More

We came for dinner before a show at the Brewery. Just perfect - everything was very tasty and authentic. The Turkish red wine was delicious, as was the rice pudding (but not as you know it) dessert. OK, the service is not perfect but I'd forgive them because the food is definitely the winning number.

I visited here with a group of friends and was very much looking forward to it due to the good things I'd heard but unfortunately we seemed to have visited on an 'off' night. The service was awful, waiter didn't seem to care about the service he provided and I very much got the impression that he couldn't have cared... More

Oh my goodness the food here is just so lush. Everything about it is lovely: the smell when you walk in, the staff, the decor, the lovely great big windows and of course, them eats. Having eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here I can say it's a winner every time. Make sure you check the availability so you're not disappointed.... More

Been here a few times and I have to say the food is good, authentic, tasty, the portion sizes are just right. Lots to like about the food and the menu. The thing that really lets this place down is the way the staff insist on trying to remember your order instead of writing it down. This has let to... More

After all the rave reviews we thought we had to go here. Ordered a wide range of food and meze starter but can honestly say was not impressed. I know its different to many other reviews here but found the food stodgy and tasteless. In fact left quite a bit. It is also NOT cheap. So I am afraid we... More

Delicious food, friendly efficient service. Good atmosphere. Original and chilled, while food dazzles.
