Bright and colourful, the Souk Kitchen on North Street is a vibrant eatery that has brought a brand new style of dining to the Bristol restaurant scene. Encouraging people to share and to try new things, the menu at the Souk Kitchen is filled with small plates, mezze, dips, tagines, salads and grill dishes that are inspired by the traditional souks of Damascus, Marrakech and Beirut. Created using aromatic produce such as preserved lemons, tahini, honey and orange blossom, this is a stellar, moreish menu that you and your family and friends will love. The dcor at the Souk Kitchen is an eclectic mix of candy-coloured wallpaper and shelves stacked with ingredients including couscous, saffron and rosewater.

Gorgeous food. had dips and haloumi for starter. 3 dips -not just the usual babba ganoush and hummus but some really unusual ones - and delicious. opted for a main rather than mezze. very nice - Lebanese chicken skewers. good value too. service was good (not outstanding, but good). only... read more

The range of middle-eastern and north-African dishes on the menu here is really good. Each dish, even the cheapest starter/appetiser, is a little work of art cooked with love. Wine list includes a lovely Lebanese red that I would gladly drink a crate of. This place is almost always full and buzzing with energy, deservedly so, because it is a... More

For a pre theatre dining experience this was great. Excellent veggie choices, tasty and well cooked. The service was not fast or rushed, however we had left plenty of time to eat. Relaxed surroundings, maybe a little noisy, a lovely atmosphere the real treat was definitely the food.

I ate here on Friday with friends. All of us thought the food was very good but the service wasn't great as we felt we were being hurried along. It was also very noisy that it was hard to hear what each other was saying. That said the fish curry was delicious.

This is not your average restaurant - in fact as you walk towards it you'd it was "nothing special"...but as you get closer the wonderful smell of mixed spices hits you and you're lured in! OK, sounds like a fairytale - but isn't! A reinvigorated business that was once down on it's luck but, thanks to a new vision and... More

Went there with my wife for a meal in the evening. Expecting good food...and were not disappointed. Although a bit tight in space, but makes it up for it with good food, Attentive staff & helpful staff.

Well I read some great reviews on here and it certainly didn’t disappoint (apart from a small issue with the wine when paying the bill). I ordered the mixed grill and he ordered the fish curry which he was very impressed with. I have now tasted the best taramasalata I’ve ever eaten and just the standard of the food was... More

We arrived for dinner. Had a little while to wait for service. But eventually order taken. Plenty of choice and very informative waiting staff. The food took a while to arrive but when on the table you could taste , why it had taken a time. The presentation was top notch. The whole group enjoyed the fresh food. But be... More

Absolutely delicious food and great service. The quality if produce is fresh while the quirky menu offers tastes I've never tried before. I wasn't sure what to expect as a lot of the items had unusual names but everything on the plate was yummy. Only tiny negative would be the small amount of space hence tables very close together -... Went to the whiteladies' branch..always has amazing food. Everything fresh and original. Recommend the mezze and the lemon and mint spritzers. Is quickly becoming a firm favourite!! Have taken parents here as well, and they were very impressed
