Bright and colourful, the Souk Kitchen on North Street is a vibrant eatery that has brought a brand new style of dining to the Bristol restaurant scene. Encouraging people to share and to try new things, the menu at the Souk Kitchen is filled with small plates, mezze, dips, tagines, salads and grill dishes that are inspired by the traditional souks of Damascus, Marrakech and Beirut. Created using aromatic produce such as preserved lemons, tahini, honey and orange blossom, this is a stellar, moreish menu that you and your family and friends will love. The dcor at the Souk Kitchen is an eclectic mix of candy-coloured wallpaper and shelves stacked with ingredients including couscous, saffron and rosewater.

Fantastic, never disappointed!

This is our favourite restaurant in Bristol. We have taken many friends here and they loved it too. The flavours in the food are so different to your average meal and we savour each course. Often asking for additional plates of starters because they are so tasty.

It was my turn to choose the restaurant for my friends and I on one of our monthly outings and I had spotted this Middle Eastern little restaurant several times and it has been getting more and more busy so I knew it had to be good, and we were not disappointed, it was amazing! When you go in the... More

It's difficult to get a table unless you book in advance, we managed to get one on Sunday evening. Very chilled out atmosphere, with helpful waiters. We had the flatbreads with a selection of three dips, carrot, lentil and white bean which was so silky and light. We then had fried cauliflower, dukkah and yoghurt which had an excellent amount... Took a bit of a risk by taking some friends from Singapore. She is Malay and has never tried this style of food, so was a little sceptical. After humous, flatbreads, taramasalata, turkish beans as starters the scepticism had turned to relish. I have had the humous there before and it is lovely, but the taramasalata was superb. Her words,... More

We went there with some friends who visited from London. The starter of bread and dips were absolutely delightful. The mains however, were on the oily side although taste-wise they were very good. They have 2 branches in Bristol, one in Clifton and one in Bedminster. The Bedminster one was small and crowded and advance booking is advised. There is... More

Walk past quite a lot and it always smells so good and friends in the area rave about it so went for dinner one night. We had tapas, and ordered more dishes than was suggested but still felt hungry afterwards! Food was nice, not sure what the fuss is about though. Maybe would have had a different experience having a... More

Went there on a recommendation, and had the nicest lunch I'd had for years. Wonderful flavours, beautifully cooked and presented, and completely different from the mainstream. Not the fastest service, but you could tell that it was all fresh cooked from raw ingredients, so it was well worth waiting for. And as for the desserts ...

We're leaving Bristol soon but we recently discovered Souk Kitchen and have been back several times since. The atmosphere is great, as is the food. The 'sharing platter' starter is amazing. The wines are very good too.

Delicious breakfast and great lunch time deal. The style is very moderns so not for everyones taste (my parents didn't like it). I would go there any time.
