The place to go in Clifton, great atmosphere.

Always enjoy the ambience, and gets a good mix of people. Bar snacks are great...restaurant upstairs, a bit away from it all, so prefer to eat downstairs.

For a pub this size, I would expect them to take card payments for less than £10, I see this as plain greedy, many smaller pubs accept cards, we ordered 2 drinks£9.05 and they wouldn't accept my card!!!!!

I've been going to the Albion since it re opened. The setting, atmosphere, drinks, especially around Chritmas are/is excellent. The food however has deteriorated dramatically and this is based on our last three visits culminating in a really poor experience last month. The service was good as it always has been but the food was well below average, bordering on... More

you have to fight through the coked up cider demented crowd before you can get anywhere near the bar let alone the restaurant. sexy yet rustic grub is the reward. oh for a cattle prod to get to it

I've been to the Albion regularly and found the food innovative and well cooked. Sadly tonight we were disappointed, both main courses were uncooked sea bream raw at the bone and chicken similarly under cooked Fair play when we complained we had a free main course but still not good Interestingly lot of free tables , has it changed hands... Visited the albion as a Mother's Day treat today and had the traditional Sunday lunch. It was absolutely delicious. The beef was more like a sirloin steak and cooked to perfection. I didn't have a starter as I wanted a dessert and knew I would'nt be able to manage 3 courses, however my son had the langoustine starter which was... More

When we arrived we were taken upstairs to the dining room which was very cramped, our table for two was so close to the next table it was like we were on a double date. We were sat there for about 20 minutes before anybody came to take our order for drinks or food. We both ordered the sirloin steak... More

The Albion is over priced and over rated. Customer service is poor and unless you are part of the "Clifton set" the chances are you will be treated wih disdain. There are a lot better places to go within easy walking distance. It's time for new management.

We booked for Sunday lunch for two and on arrival we were taken to the upstairs dining area and shown to one of the worst restaurant tables ever - half way out of the door to the servery on one side, crammed in behind a fellow diner on the other and requiring us to move a small dehumidifier to get...
