We wanted to create a friendly, welcoming place where a smile goes a long way! It's about exploring the wonderful foods from around the globe and opening our ears to music from around the world. Giraffes are so tall they see a different view of the world. We LOVE fresh ideas. Giraffe is operated by the original founders Juliette and Russel Joffe and Andrew Jacobs who all have an active role in the day to day management of the business. Giraffe was acquired in March 2013 by Tesco as part of its strategy to utilise some of the space in their larger stores, creating retail destinations that offer customers, in particular families, a compelling experience outside of their weekly shopping trip.

Fun place, great food, friendly staff

A favourite of ours for breakfast. Great dishes with a twist - porridge with honey, strawberries, bananas and seeds, yummy! Sourdough toast with quality marmalade and jams. Cooked breakfast with avocado, salsa, chorizo and vegetarian options. Try the sweet potato chips!!! Great music and helpful... read more

My partner had a burger and bit down onto a ~1cm long sharp wooden splinter. I showed it to the waitress and manager who said "oh that's just off the skewer in the burger". We did get offered a replacement, but as we had almost finished so we declined. After this the waitress apologised but also joked about it. Overall... More

I've been here quite a few times before but visited again for probably about the 8th time last night with family who had come to visit me. The staff are always really friendly and very attentive to your needs. Food is amazing, such a great range which makes it so much more appealing to everyone. Overall the prices are very... More

Visited here for lunch with my daughter and baby granddaughter. Lukasz, our waiter, was very friendly and extremely helpful. On ordering, the baby's food was almost instantaneous , and therefore she was satisfied and able to play whilst we ate ours. Food was well presented, very filling and competitively priced. Would visit again.

Staff were lovely but the food took some time and there wasn't very much of it when it finally arrived!

Can't wait to go again.

I visisted here with my daughters for lunch. It was our first visit here. The food was nice and the service good. My main complaint is that for what we ordered and the portion size the food was expensive. I had a bunless vegetarian burger which said it came with a large salad instead of the bun but it certainly... More

Not much option and told few times food I ordered was not in service . You don't get told about 2 4 1 drinks and when you choose it you don't get offered your second one plus I don't understand why service charge is already added to my bill when it's an optional !!

Trendy. Noisy and overcrowded. Food was ok nothing negative really. At the same time nothing that would make me return. Service was polite and friendly. Nice surroundings and interesting too.

I came here with my fiance for our first date because it was the only place open at such a late time, the food then was nice and the service was great. However this time the food was not nice, both of us did not finish our meal because we didn't particulary like the food. The service was good though.
