One of the best Italians I've ever eaten in...

The food was phenomenal. We picked it initially as it was next to the Holiday Inn Express where we were staying, and Brunel Old Station where we were working, so perhaps we wouldn't have gone based purely on the appearance of the exterior. But I would gladly make the trek to Bristol simply to come... read more

The lady who served us was lovely, couldn't fault her. The restaurant looked lovely clean and fresh with a rose on each table, blue and white gingham table cloths. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Carbonara but my Lasagne was not as it should be, the pasta was chewy in parts. Also I think they forgot to put the garlic on... More

Had dinner for one here this week after a recommendation from the hotel I was staying in a few doors down, and what a welcome treat. Very friendly service, large menu and also the blackboard specials. Very reasonably priced for city centre restaurant. Had the mushrooms to start and then the smoked Duck with Fungi and tagliatelle for mains. Very... More

There's nothing really bad about this place, the setting it pleasant enough and the staff are great but I'm afraid that I found the food a little bland despite it being hot and plentiful. Some dishes overpriced in my opinion when compared to other restaurants. The restaurant was chilly too. Sounds a little negative but it wasn't, just lacked a... More

We decided to visit Don Giovanni's based on location and the reviews. We popped in early hoping to get a table without a reservation and we were lucky! The menu is very traditional and they had some great specials, which most of us picked. We had a mix of arancini, Parma ham and creamy mushrooms to start. All lovely... My... More

Amazing, absolutely beautiful food, modern presentation without being ostentatious, all within a reasonable budget. Well worth stepping into.

I went to Don Giocanni's for the first time as my belated birthday meal. It had a nice, romantic feel to it. We had good quick service. No waiting around. The menu was good but not a lot of chicken option on the menu. I don't eat pork or ham, so the menu was limited for me. Other than that... More

I visited after scouting the local area when my train was delayed. I had a beer and a lovely bowl of pasta all within 30 minutes. Very friendly and speedy service. They should advertise at temple meads to anyone whose train is delayed. I'm certainly looking forward to being delayed in Bristol again soon!

Surprisingly good and friendly restaurant for location. Very close to Bristol Templmeads station and 50 yds to left facing the Holiday Inn which is directly opposite the station entrance. Home cooked food, nice wine, arancini on starter menu, meat courses very good and good portions. A must for anyone staying at the Holiday Inn. All in all, a great choice... More
