I have been going to Don Giovannis since 1987 & never been disappointed. The food on this visit was as always excellent. Nothing too fault about it at all. However on this occasion I felt it had lost a bit of it's Italian charm. The service was reasonable but not particularly friendly it distinctly lacked the friendly feeling it used... More

Service i found was good to start but then got slower. After taking our plates after the mains we were... More

The first time we found this restaraunt we were in Bristol for a seminar and it was the nearest restaraunt to our hotel. The food, service and ambience were so good we went back the next night. Just revisted after 6 months away and the menu was as varied as ever and the place was still a very cool venue.... More

Can't fault this restaurant! Fabulous, genuine Italian food - from the best bruschetta to the most amazing pasta dish and sauce I've ever had. Not hugely expensive and we'll worth it. Staff friendly and attentive. I'll be going back!

We have tried to get in here a few times and now we know why it always seems to be fully booked. The restaurant is plain inside but homely and very clean. Nice really nice service staff who look after your every need without that dreadful hovering that you get in some restaurants. Food really good italian, varied menu, well... More

I always visit this restaurant when staying in Bristol as the food quality and preparation are of the highest standard, as is the service. The menu is varied and complemented by a good selection of "Special" dishes. Highly recommended.

Love everything about this place. It was a little tricky to find as the map reference on Trip Advisor is a little off but once inside and seated we were treated to some excellent food. The mussels were great, as was the squid. We had a pizza too which was great but a little too much for both of us... More

We had a mixed bag at the restaurant but will go back. The starters we had were excellent - calamari of both types on the menu. My wife had the swordfish which she really enjoyed. I had the rib eye steak, good piece of meat which was cooked to perfection. This was a good meal but could have been made... More

We tried this restaurant for the first time and were not disappointed - the food and service were very good - do not let the location put you off - close to the road and railway station and not in the upbeat riverside BUT the price for the quality of food is very reasonable :-)
