Amazing Italian

My girlfriend and I visited here after seeing good reviews. We had the calamari picante for starter and it was fantastic. Service was speedy and friendly! We both had different varieties of fillet steak, the only issue was my girlfriend didn't like the chargrilled flavour of her steak. Once we... read more

I had always driven by Don Giavanni's but never had the chance to go until a couple weeks ago. The homemade wild mushroom soup has been on mind since, I'd love to get the recipe and the steak Diane was succulent, flavourful and cooked to perfection, medium rare, with not a strip on fat on it. I was full but... More

We didn't enjoy this one, it wound my wife up quite a bit. The red wine started it off, it was a bit thin and watery; I tried it too and it was, we sent it back for another which was equally as limp, she settled on a white wine in the end. We had the first course which was... More

Lovely food and service. Plain tablecloths and seating. Good atmosphere. Price is fair. Better than we expected. Would go again and certainly recommend it to others. Nothing to dislike.

Have spent the day cycling my wife and I just an hour before we had to be at the station to return home. I advised the staff we were likely to be in a bit of a hurry, and I have to say they were honest but said they would try and ensure we were served dinner quickly. Well, we... More

Visited the restaurant whilst on Business and found the Service excellent from our waitress and the standard of food was very high, enjoying both the starter and main course. The restaurant was very busy at 7pm, which was testemount to the quality of this restaurant, Deserved.

Just opposite Bristol Temple Meads station, this unassuming Italian restaurant is a great place to start. Obviously very popular (you need to book to ensure a table!) the service was good, food tasty and price great. I liked the way that you could have a couple of large slices of pizza with salad and jacket potato, my friends were able... More

Unpretentious Italian restaurant with paper napkins and tablecloth. Service was efficient, professional and friendly with no delays. From the a la carte menu, had whitebait, the saltimbocca special of the day (with vegetables) and a dessert special of the day consisting of strawberries and semifreddo. All very good and all large portions! Accompanied by a 250 ml glass of the... More

Second visit to bristol and second visit to Don Giovannis. Had such a lovely meal first time we decided to meet our friends in bristol and take them there. Marvellous food and great service. Perfect place for us to catch up with our friends without feeling rushed.
