Italy finds its place in Bristol

If you are looking for a no frills restaurant where the money is being spent on the ingredients and wages of efficient, dedicated staff rather than on plush decor, then look no further. Gluten free and dairy free food alternatives available from the menu. Pleasant staff. Quite busy with a variety of customers.

Came here for the start of my stag do and what a start it was. Food was excellent and a wide range of choice. Well priced and certainly worth your money. Waitress were polite and attentive but not to much that you felt rushed. Thank you very much.

Popped in here while staying at the Hilton round the corner, and pleased I did. A little unremarkable on the outside (but the immediate area around BTM is not that great TBH). Don't be put off too by the rather basic, almost cafe-like inside. The service is very good and the food is super too. I had the goat's cheese... More

I have been working in Bristol for a couple of weeks now and have found the reviews for this place very favourable so tonight I called in. I was welcomed warmly and shown to a table, told about the specials and orders a beer. The place was busy with a few solo clients (like me) but there was a constant... More

We had a meal here with our friends last week. From start to finish the service was exceptional. The team warned us that a large group were coming so we were well advised to order before they did which was very good of them. We had olives and garlic bread to start and then two of us had pizzas and... More

We were recommended to Don Giovanni's by reception at our hotel - and it was a great recommendation! 7 of us arrived, had drinks and ordered bread / olives and main meals - 2 king prawn specials, 1 penne arrabiata, meatballs with tagliatelle, 1 chicken, 1 steak and a pizza - all of them delicious and clearly freshly cooked. Service... More

I have been eating here for26 years and its still the best. Great Italian food, beers and wines and good staff. Park in the Station Car Park and walk across for a treat.

The lady who served us was lovely, couldn't fault her. The restaurant looked lovely clean and fresh with a rose on each table, blue and white gingham table cloths. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Carbonara but my Lasagne was not as it should be, the pasta was chewy in parts. Also I think they forgot to put the garlic on... More

The food was phenomenal. We picked it initially as it was next to the Holiday Inn Express where we were staying, and Brunel Old Station where we were working, so perhaps we wouldn't have gone based purely on the appearance of the exterior. But I would gladly make the trek to Bristol simply to come here again. Very fairly priced... More
