Awesome stay with great service. Really made to feel at home. Had great meals all the time although the best was the excellent fish and chips. Thanks again

The owners and staff are really friendly and recognise you quickly when you return. Plenty of vegetarian options for food and my husband says the steak is the best he has had in the UK and his second best of all time while travelling. Their themed nights are brilliant value and delicious, so very tempting to give up cooking myself... More

Were taken here by friends for an evening meal. Bistro style dining part of the pub serving good food. We all had fish and chips which was in lovely light bear batter. The honeycomb ice cream was nice but disappointingly not crunchy. Service was attentive and staff friendly. Would recommend this pub

Very good stake but at £19.00 abit pricey. Good helpings, one dish only had potatoes and no vegatables which was not made clear on the menu. All in all very good not quite excellent but would go back again.

We visited here going on the recommendation 'great food and great value' it certainly was! A beautiful traditional pub, with a fire, dogs welcome and lots of tasty, local ciders and ales. The manager, was so welcoming and accommodating, what great service. We found it difficult to make a choice from the menu, not an overwhelming choice but everything sounded... More

Dined here on a Thursday evening just before the Easter weekend. From the moment we arrived, the owner was helping us decide on what drinks to have and gave one member of our party some different beers to sample. We were visiting with two children, they brought them an activity pack to do whilst waiting for their meal, which was... More

We visited on Saturday evening as we were staying in the area for the weekend and had been recommended visiting this wonderful in! We hadnt booked but were easily and promptly accommodated! We were not disappointed! They offer a selection of local beers and ciders- which were lovely! We enjoyed a charcuterie platter to start, a fantastic selection to tickle... More

Starter was from the specials board and featured 4 different fish in a very light and crispy tempura batter. Very nice side salad, well dressed and a killer lemon and garlic mayo that brought the whole plate together. The main course was to die for. A skewer of wonderfully seasoned steak, dripping over the tripple-cooked chips with sides of salad... More

Visited on a busy Wednesday evening. I was dining alone and they managed to fit me in, I did have to sit on a table laid for 6 as that was all that was available. The service was friendly and not too in your face. The food was good I had the garlic mushrooms to start but requested no stilton,... More
