The Beech Tree Inn is a family restaurant and bar situated just north of Glasgow. We serve good bar food at value for money prices. In addition, we have a good range of light meals and snacks. We also stock a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. We have a great beer garden with a children's play area, pygmy goats, mini Shetland ponies, ducks, rabbits, & zebra finches for the kids to enjoy looking at.

Welcome lunch stop on Day 1 WHW

Despite the weather being exceptional for the rest of the week we walked the WHW, on the first day it hammered with rain. As such bedraggled and wet we took a grateful pew at the Beech Tree Inn. Initially encouraged to leave bags/poles outside, we noticed many others had taken them in and given... read more

We stopped by the Beech Tree Inn for lunch on day 1 of our trek on West Highland way. We were pleasantly surprised with the spread on offer. We opted for baked potato and garlic bread and were happy with the preparation, service and portion size. All in all was a nice place to stop by and is recommended for... More

Booked a table for 6 for a special celebration and had a great night. All staff were very friendly and welcoming and we had a selection of meals, all of which were excellent. Clearly we had some reservations given some recent comments and just goes to show you can't please all of the people all of the time, portions are... More

Hadn't been for a while, and last time I was there menu was vast, but food was good. Decided to go because they had play area, and thought we'd ay least have a decent meal while our daughter ate and played. Well it now resembles a 'cowboy' bar, very tacky. Menu much reduced, and food at best bland bar food.... More

We have only reduced the menu slightly in the garden & haven't reduced it on the inside menu. We have been criticized for having too big a menu & now get criticized for reducing it. I'm afraid I can not make comment on what you had as it doesn't say. There are so many types of catering establishments that it... More

Hadn't been for a number of years but was out for a drive and popped in. Wish we hadn't! Place looked a bit tired when we went in but sat down and ordered. Food came relatively quickly but my wife's lasagna had to go back as it was cold. I tucked into my fajitas which were warm enough but not... More

I was surprised to read that the place looked a "bit tired", its not the usual comments we get from our customers. As explained to you at the time, the Lasagne was probed both times & was at 92 degrees in temperature when it returned to the kitchen, but I apologise it wasn't to your satisfaction. With regards to the... More

We we went here for lunch on the first leg of the West Highland Way. It has a fantastic beer garden and a wide range of pub grub. The service was excellent - quick and very friendly. The food is nothing special, but it was exactly the kind of thing required (stodge) after a long walk - not to mention... More

We were a party of 34 Scots and Danes who booked for lunch before visiting the nearby distillery. The inn knew we didn't have much time and we were served very promptly by very helpful and pleasant staff. The fish and chips were much appreciated by the Danes. Lots of interesting things to see in the garden, especially for children... More

My wife and I decided to cycle out to the Beech Tree Inn for dinner and a drink. We both ordered a burger and fries. The food arrived very quickly and staff were friendly, but the food apart from the coleslaw was poor. The burger was dry and tasteless, the bun was dry and the fries were cheap frozen ones... More

Extemly helpful friendly welcoming staff, great to see the goats and rabbits, unfortunately we forgot our dogs lead or would have brought him in to the bear garden, food was very good and great value, lively warm friendly atmosphere will definitely be back

I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit. Can you please send me more details via email so that I can look into this further. Walkers are an important part of our business, we see about 60,000 walkers every year. We put a path through the garden so walkers don’t need to walk all the way round the car... More
