The Beech Tree Inn is a family restaurant and bar situated just north of Glasgow. We serve good bar food at value for money prices. In addition, we have a good range of light meals and snacks. We also stock a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. We have a great beer garden with a children's play area, pygmy goats, mini Shetland ponies, ducks, rabbits, & zebra finches for the kids to enjoy looking at.

Welcome lunch stop on Day 1 WHW

Despite the weather being exceptional for the rest of the week we walked the WHW, on the first day it hammered with rain. As such bedraggled and wet we took a grateful pew at the Beech Tree Inn. Initially encouraged to leave bags/poles outside, we noticed many others had taken them in and given... read more

Nice place to aim for if you fancy a good walk from Milngavie on a Saturday afternoon. It is a bout 8 miles easy walking and offers good food and a welcome pint at the end of the walk. You can get the bus back if required

Popped in here today with my son and husband for some lunch. First time being here, if you have small kids they will love it there is play park plus aminals. There is goats and ducks, and mini Shetland ponies. You can eat inside our out or in the conservatory. We where sat in the conservatory which was quite hot.... More

Arrived at midday to find the place very busy. Was shown to table quickly, order taken and meal arrived promptly. Has gowts cheese pizza which seemed hone made and was excellent. Bit of a wait after main course, they were very busy, but finished with rxcellent coffee with tablet. Will return in better weather when grand daughter can enjoy the... More

Many thanks for taking the time to review us John. I'm not sure why it has come up as only 1 star when you have rated us 3 for value, 4 for service & 5 for food. Glad you enjoyed it anyway More

First and last visit as the quality of food was very very poor. Had a meat dish and it was cheap meat, not tasty at all. Would not recommend this place.

We use a local quality butcher for all of our meat, although he is not the cheapest, we pay more as we don’t normally have an issue with his quality, would be interest to hear what you had if you want to email me. More

I have no idea why you felt the need to post such a negative review. We do not use cheap ingredients but as you haven't told us what you have had to eat I can't make any comment. I never understand why people don't tell us at the time that they are not happy with something or feel it’s a... More

We stopped by the Beech Tree Inn for lunch on day 1 of our trek on West Highland way. We were pleasantly surprised with the spread on offer. We opted for baked potato and garlic bread and were happy with the preparation, service and portion size. All in all was a nice place to stop by and is recommended for... More

Booked a table for 6 for a special celebration and had a great night. All staff were very friendly and welcoming and we had a selection of meals, all of which were excellent. Clearly we had some reservations given some recent comments and just goes to show you can't please all of the people all of the time, portions are... More
