Rather a subdued view

Visited with Scottish friends and whilst the food was acceptable the same cannot be said for the 90 minute wait. This late service was accompanied by one of us getting cold potatoes and one other getting the wrong pasta dish. This overshadowed my original long wait for my drink despite the others... read more

Great meals and for families, food is cooked fresh and wee wait but worth it. Don't buy any drink as the mark-up is tremendous £1.75 for a can of coke, big let down, no need for that.

Went there on Thursday on our way home from a day out in the safari park and Trossachs. Greeted by the manager who could not do enough for us, accommodating our requests (wheelchair and very fussy eater) Food was quick and my only negative was the portions were a bit large or maybe that was just because we had starters.... Poor lunch today that will stop me from ever returning. The kitchen lost our order resulting in an hour and 20 min wait, it was a busy day due to the sun so we had waited but when we chased up our order, they discovered it was lost. The manager offered us a half price round of drinks to apologise.... More

I was unaware we had such a lovely restaurant so close to home! Our visit today was wonderful. We sat outside seeing as it was a lovely day. Beautiful surroundings, huge portions of food well worth the money and an all round nice atmosphere. Great for walkers, families, and those with pets. Personally I loved being surrounded by pooches and... More

Stopped for lunch today and after waiting sometime placed our order for smoked haddock and mash/steak and ale pie.Not much to go wrong here, wrong. When the food arrived both lunches were cold, the cheese sauce on the fish was congealing and the puff pastry on the pie was stone cold. Returned to the kitchen and promptly replaced. The fish was much better,the... More

I've visited The Beech Tree a few times and always had a nice experience. The food is okay but the real attraction to this place is the great gardens, animals and surrounding areas - the outdoor seating and play area is excellent for kids and for taking the dog with you - definitely worth a visit on a nice day.

Had a meal there today and it was most disappointing. The starter of deep fried mushrooms were wet and soggy inside as they had obviously used frozen mushrooms. The main course of haddock and chips was horrible. The fish was overcooked, the meat was tough and the batter was burned. There was too much salad on the plate and it... More
