Food was awful. There are so many better places to eat in this area. Good location right on The West Highland Way but they seriously need to up their game on food quality.

Went along after receiving the e-mail from Lynne offering 50% off food facebook promotion for 31 Oct - 3 Nov 2014! Brilliant deal of course. We decided to book up and went along on Saturday 1 Nov. The food was amazing as ever. I ordered the baked goat's cheese brushchetta and it was absolutely on the money and at £5.45... More

I'm local to the beech tree inn a couple of years ago they served me the worst fish and chips meal I'd ever been served the fish was so greasy it was served on kitchen roll the salad was wet and was brown around the edges the chips were horrible I vowed to never eat there again but two weeks... My 3 children and myself walked from Milngavie on bank holiday Monday 29/9 to Beech Tree Inn. It's a place we often walk or drive to-we like the play park for children and animals to pet. Unfortunately on this occasion we were sorely disappointed! We arrived at 3.15pm, I was aware that it closed at 4pm as I'd previously checked... More

We recently walked the West Highland Way. We used many bars, restaurants, B&B's and hotels along the route. The Beech Tree Inn was our first stop on the route for lunch on our first day. Maybe it was our tired bodies not used to walking but the pub appeared like an oasis and was a very welcome stop. We didn't... More

Stopped here for a wee refreshment today whilst on a cycle. Decided to sit in the garden as it was a lovely evening but found EVERY table bar one had remnants of food or empty glasses on them. Staff in bar friendly but husband was served a pint of Guinness and a room temp glass of white wine. At £4.50... More

My wife and I “booked a table” for 4 for a birthday lunch with our son and daughter in-law. After driving over 40 miles to meet them , they drove about the same distance from a different direction. After being shown to our table (about 5 minutes before the booked time) we were told it would be around a 1.5... More

This is a beautiful well looked after pub with animals and things to interest the kids. It offers walkers a watering hole near the start or end of the West Highland Way depending on your direction. Their souvenir T-Shirts were quite witty which I don't mind... but WHY NOT hire a decent chef rather than offer a huge menu of... More

First time here, was recommended by my fiancés friend. Staff were very friendly and we were seated quickly, the choice of menu is varied from unusual to normal food. We selected the haggis fritters, black pudding fritters as starters, buffalo lasagne (made with buffalo mince) and wild boar burger. Large portions and very tasty, also ordered the onion rings that... More
