Lovely food, very tasty, nicely presented. The staff were accommodating with my fussy eating and adapted the menu to match which was much appreciated. Helpful staff, good choice on the menu too.

Stopped off at the Valley Restaurant for lunch at around 12:30 whilst on a business trip. Although a little damp and misty outside the views from the restaurant are stunning. We were shown to the bar where we ordered our food and drinks before sitting in the conservatory to have our meals. The food was freshly cooked and we both... More

We had a free evening and wanted to eat locally so we booked the Valley Restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and tasted superb. My wife was blown away by her savoury souffle starter. Main courses tasted very fresh and beautifully cooked. The service was very efficient from Trevor and his team with just the right amount of time left... More

Returned to "The Valley" restaurant , with some friends, following a less than impressive previous visit...See my previous reviews, when I listed it as 1 *. Dubious about this visit, I didn't hold out much hope but was proven wrong and had a very pleasant meal. The entire group commented on him much improved the food and service was. The... More

Two friends who lunch. We both had baked salmon, dill sauce and beautiful fresh veg. It was of a quality that really was exceptional. New potatoes with a bit of butter, broccoli and carrots steamed I think, al dente. The salmon was perfectly cooked, WOW, and with this little pool of sauce. So simple, so stunning, not cheap but why... More

We stayed at Pilgrims Hotel for five nights, and ate in the restaurant on three occasions. All of our choices were really enjoyed - we had starters and a main course each. The food was excellent and it was hard to decide as plenty of options on the menu. The cheese and spinach soufflé was much enjoyed by three of... More

Another fabulous evening. Warm, welcoming, friendly, efficient staff. Beautiful setting, the neighbouring fields of rapeseed adding spectacular colour to the landscape, truly stunning! Exquisite food, I couldn't resist a pre-starter(my diet went out of the window at this point) focaccia, humous and olives followed by a mouthwatering starter of the lightest, cheddar and spinach soufflé in a Parmesan roux that... Fantastic restaurant which we chose to eat in every night during our stay as it was so good. In particular, the unique soups were delicious starters (while we stayed there was Broccoli and Cheddar and Cream of White Onion). The food was attractively presented, with good sized portions. Services was friendly and the food arrived promptly without the meal feeling... More
