We decided to get a bite while waiting for the ferry, that was the last time we ever ate from there. I had deep-fried prawns with my lunch and that wrecked our weekend getaway. I came down with food poisoning which cancelled our plans.

I am loathe to do such a negative review but, sadly, it is all this restaurant deserves. My experience was some time ago but very similar to "terrible food" reviewer. We went and placed a take out order. went across the street for a Friday night drink and returned at the appointed time but had to wait another twenty minutes.... More

Ordered take out for a girls movie night. We had to pick up the food as the delivery person had already left (7:00 pm). It was as if we ordered all of the old dried up leftovers. The rice was dry and bland and the deep fried prawns dry and hard. Worst Chinese food ever.

Reliably good food and personable service. A neighbourhood favourite. Great for after a long week of work and quick dining at home. Time to catch up with the family without having to fret about dinner.

We ordered food for pick up. When we arrived at the restaurant to pick up our food we had to wait. It seemed like something was up because we could hear the waitress talking to someone on the phone about a mixed up order. We saw a man arrive with a bag of chinese food. He gave it to the... More

Wasn't sure how to point out that the photgraph shown on this page is misleading-- the pictured dining room is in fact the Seagrille Restaurant at the Brentwood Bay Lodge and Spa.

Well I read over the other two reviews, and I'd have to say I disagree. I found it to be a charming little restaurant, fast, cheap and yummy. I really liked their ginger beef, as well as the house chow mein. My family all liked it a lot as well, it was a nice place with good food.

If the Malahat is closed, and you're in the ferry line-up in the late afternoon or evening, you have two choices for food. The Lodge and Spa, good food at pretty high prices, and every chance you'll miss the ferry (VERY slow service) or the Orient, which is the dead opposite. So-so food (at best), cheap prices, and very fast... More

It was dreadful! Deep-fried pot stickers with too much filling, kung pao extremely light on the chicken (though it at least had flavor, something lacking in all the other dishes), house fried rice that included shrimp without their tails removed (maybe the chef knows the Heimlich maneuver and wants to practice it?) as well as cubed, unadvertised tofu, and honey...
